In the morning we went to town to get some mug shots for our passports. Dutch ones cost $25 and German ones cost $20. Odd.
There was an old Fiat 500 parked out side and it was in pristine condition.
The doves in our garden are a bit crazy. And they love me. I'm only changing the cocky-boy's water and as I bent over they come and land on my back. I'm just praying they don't crap on me. Apart from that I think it's funny and cute.
This i their little baby right now. They raise it for about three weeks and then it's on to the next few babies. I wonder if they'll make more after this one. I hope not.
In the afternoon we drove to Tanunda where we went to an open air festival called Barossa under the stars. The only reason we went is because their main act was Chris Isaak.
It was a bit windy.
There were loads...
... and loads of people.
Already during the third song of the concert Chris did a bit of a walk through the crowd. How I wish I had a better quality camera in my phone.
It was pretty cool.
The show was great.
Big similarities with the show in Amsterdam we saw but he also did songs from his new album.
Afterwards he signed his merchandise. Nobody however told us that you actually had to buy the merchandise next door first. That made sense but it would've been nice if they told us before hand.
This is his new cd. It was fantastic to see and hear him live again.

Super market hell
During lunch I walked past the new art work heart. They removed the "wrapping". I like it a lot.
I sat down under a tree in Victoria Square. Under the tree next door was an Aboriginal man. When he looked at me I greeted him with a nod and he nodded back. For some reason it felt meaningful. I don't know why.
It's nice to sit under a tree. I love trees.
After lunch I went to the supermarket (Woolies) in Rundle Mall. I needed some dips and crackers for at the bowls tonight.
It was fucking busy. I was fucking hot and sweating like a pig cuz I walked to fast...
After work I took the bus to lawn bowls.
It was the last night of this season, just a fun night. After the last competition night last week we have ended No. 13 out of 42 teams. That is not bad at all I think.

Books and beach
The two doves (that had 2 x 2 babies while nesting on our veranda) had made another nest in a tree in the back of our garden. They're not very good at it. They screwed up last year as well. Anyway, one day we found both new babies on the ground under the nest. One was dead (it's a 3.5 metre fall) and one was alive. That one now has a little apartment in the shed where it's being fed by the parents. It will fly out soon I reckon.
Late morning we drove in to town. We had an elevator photo shoot.
All the shops were closed except for Borders books. I bought this third edition of Cocoa programming for Mac OS X. I had bought the second edition a year ago which was too old for the software that I have and I missed out on the book last visit. So I secured my copy today.
Some little girl was hiding from me.
Outside in Rundle mall Jan Vayne was playing a few tunes.
Then we had lunch at a place called Saldechin. It was in an old bank building.
Food was asian orientated and quite nice. Bit of a weird atmosphere though I thought.
Nicole posing with an ad she put together.
When we came home, the in laws had returned from Ikea and were putting together the new purchases. Well, actually only Tony was and I think everybody else was cheering.
In the evening we went to Henley.
We walked on the jetty a bit before going to the Thai Orchid.
The weather was great, bit windy.
The sun set while we were having a fantastic dinner.
Afterwards we had coffee.

The didgeridoo
This morning we went to Scoozi's for breakfast together with Karin and Gavin.
Nicole and Marisa.
After breakfast we walked the Rundle Market.
One of the old houses of Rundle Street.
Nicole and Marisa checking out wheat bags.
An Adelaide phone booth.
On the way back to the car I had a quick pit stop at the Best poffertjes stand of Adelaide.
Beautiful Adelaide architecture while walking in to the parking garage.
We drove in to the Adelaide hills next.
Can't go in to the hills without visiting Chocolate @ No 5. This is the tree in front.
Marisa and Nicole ordering inside.
Driving further towards Adelaide again we stopped to admire the view.
Winding roads down the hills.
Watch out for Echidnas.
In Hahndorf I bought a didgeridoo. It's created and painted by aboriginal people in the North of Australia in a traditional way which is hollowed out by termites, cut, and finished.
I am now practising circular breathing and I've already made a bit of progress. Maybe I can join the session in Mulligans with it when I come over ;-)
In the evening we took Marisa to Cafe de Vili's for some quality Adelaide fine dining.
