Alalé

This morning's breakfast. I had to empty the fridge coz I'm going away for a week. These grapes are probably going to make me ehm... nevermind.

The day was uneventful until the evening. Alalé was playing in Mulligans again. Fantastic band. Martina and Sean were behind the bar.

Alalé. Very good band. Good strong music, nice tempo. I like.


Walking home through the Leidsestraat. I think my camera was drunk by the looks of it.

The signing.

I went to my new employer's office early morning to sign my contract. I took the tram to Central Station.

There I waited for the bus.

From the busstop it was a short walk past the water.

After signing I had a rest at a roadside diner kinda place.

Mmmmmmh.

At home again with my new contract. It's gone really fast and it's kinda unreal. I'm very happy.

I had to get garlic sauce at the supermarket. Whilst walking there I saw these two beauties.

In the evening I took the tram in to town. They have setup the ice skating rink on Leidseplein again. There are also poffertjes.. hmmmmm.


Around 2AM I walked home, it stayed dry mostly.

The sweetness

Early morning they started working next door. I think they were mining for shit.

I eat hardly any sugar these days. Yesterday I already felt sugar cravings around lunch time and today I caved in... badly *grin*. With all these turkish and moroccan bakeries here in the hood it's not hard to find veeeeeeeery nice and veeeeeeeeery sweet things. These guys were actually so sweet that it was almost sickening. I should've bought only one...


I was doing test questions for the Dutch theory part of the driver's test.

I got insured again.

When I woke up I heard a feral bloody kid outside. It kept screaming and wanted something from his mom. Mom didn't give a fuck though and happily let it cry for 10 minutes. Stupid woman.

I walked to my local insurance office and got me some insurances.

I passed this church. Passed it many times on the bus, never on foot.

I arrived 30 minutes early and waited in a snackbar with chips and peanut sauce.


In the evening I drove to Mulligans to buy drinks for friends. It was a lovely evening.

Shopping and cooking

I woke up to the sounds of my upstairs neighbour's girlfriend having a pretty good time... It was the end of my sleep.

My food supply was running low so I walked to the shops. There was a little bird swimming in the dark, cold water.

Choices, choices. I picked Chicken Siam.

Todays bounty. It included green grapes.

And then it was already time for lunch which involved another Star Trek episode.

Later afternoon I walked to the Kinkerstraat to get some more things. I saw dead chickens.

I had reason to celebrate today so I bought myself a "Tom pouce".


I prepared some food for the next days. Veggie soup, meatballs en rice with chicken siam. The meatballs are a bit on the crispy side but OK. The siam was nice.

The memory

I was eating a few crackers this morning.

It reminded me of my holiday in Vukovar - Croatia.
