I was attending a conference of forensic mental health organised by the Dutch ministry of public safety and justice. This conference was about treating people for mental disorders by court order. The software that I work on can be (and is) used by a few mental hospitals.
I went there by train.
The location was pretty cool.
It was held in a converted old factory.
They left a lot of spaces looking very raw.
I liked.
I wonder what the spaces were used for when it was still a factory.
This was one of the more interesting talks. The host was telling about how he asked his patients before each session to rate how they were feeling about themselves, their surroundings, their place in society and in total. If the treatment is going well this should increase over time. If it doesn't, something's wrong with the treatment or the patient just can't be treated...
Nice conference!
Same place as the first picture but then 8 hours later on the way back.
I went straight to the pub where I met Mic. We had a pint and then went for shoarma! God that stuff is delish! Mic smiled for a photo by accident ;-)
Then we went back to the pub for more Guinness.
Alex came in as well. Sean was behind the bar and we had a lot of laughs together. It was a good night.
