Driving Corsa's
We drove Simone's Corsa to the garage for some maintenance under warranty. We drove back in my Corsa. It was all fixed pretty quick and late arvo we did the reverse thing and picked it up.
The drive there and back took us straight through our national airport.
In between I worked, nothing exciting.

The great idea
I watched Wheeler Dealers during breakfast. IMO it's one of the best car shows on TV because they actually explain what they do to the car and why. It's not about the glamour so much as with a lot of other shows. They were bringing an old Ford Escort back to life today. Nice car!
I had to deal with some unfinished business today. This piece of the wall that still looks crap after we put the new floor in months ago. I tried to make it pretty with pieces of wood but it was all crooked and in the end it really frustrated me. When Simone came home we went to the DIY store together, my third! time today to have a look for alternatives.
Simone had this fantastic idea that not only is super easy to make, it also eliminates the flaws in the wall and it looks very good too!
Basically all we did was put two corner profiles on the wall, thus giving us a straight surface to work with, something the wall was lacking.
All we needed to do then was put on a wider piece of wood and voila!
Looking good no?

The hidden wires
I went to my car today for ongoing improvement :-)
It was time to try on the gasket... One has to go on top of this carb spacer and one underneath.
Beautiful fit! This will hopefully keep my carb cool so I don't get any fuel boil any more.
I did some more work on the trunk again. I wonder if there should be something against the back seat from this side...
I sanded away for about 2,5 hours and got most of it done. I really need to get a proper vacume cleaner incolved coz the dust is going everywhere. I'm happy with how much I got done today.
Infront of the passenger seat there's a little light in the dash that says "Fasten seatbeld". There should also be an audible warning but I've never seen it work. Today I looked under the seat and saw this. It can't connect coz one of the wires has to go through a non-existing hole in the carpet. I will make that hole and then, hopefully, the light will work! Very exciting :-)
