Lunch at Tarndanyangga

Another day, another false (fire) alarm.

During lunch I walked to Victoria square. It also has an Aboriginal name.

There is a nice fountain.

And the Australian flag as well as the Aboriginal flag are raised there. I quite like the Aboriginal flag. The black stands for the Aboriginal people, the red is the earth (lots of red sand in this country) and the yellow is the sun. Simple, yet powerful meanings. I like it even more now.

Trees are blooming big time at the moment. These flowers are called bottle-brushes I believe.

And then I had to get back to work. I quickly took this picture for an overview of the park.

The aboriginal name means "red kangaroo rock"; see the article in
the wikipedia.
