The forklift menace.
When that little forklift drives past, all our screens shake. It's like we work in a rubberband building...

The Spiegelgracht was moved to a different spot. It's a big mother of a ship.
Somewhere else there are really big pipes lying around.
This is my little bonsai. It's picking up after the big attack of the tiny white creatures. I've given it about 4 or 5 sprays with a natural insecticide. Now it looks clean and more and more new leaves are growing.

The Gerrit and Mia show.
Approaching Leidseplein on my way to work this morning.
A new ship was tugged in this morning. It's the Atlantic princess. It's one of the biggest fishing trawlers in the UK I believe...
After work I walked to the pub. This is the war memorial monument on Dam square.
I met Gerrit and his Canadian cousin Mia at the pub and we went out for dinner next door at Szmulewicz. It was a lovely evening.

The big crane.
While I was waiting for the tram, a truck's crane was unfolding next to me.
It was pretty damn tall for a truck-crane!
Walking to work I passed another crane which was slowly taking apart the last part of the burned out building.
Here we see one of my colleague's "Sea monkeys" swimming past. The water stays remarkably clean I have to say.
When I came home the rubbish had been picked up. I immediately brought more rubbish and glass down.
My dinner.

The Spiegelgracht.
The rubbish in one side of my street. It should be gone soon as the strike is over...
The neighbours at work had lined up the cranes nicely. There's also a big fat boat that has three white cranes. I wonder what it's for. Wow, I love Google. The name of the ship is "Spiegelgracht". One of their crew (Jaco) kept kind of a blog: http://www.scheepspraat.nl/spiegelgracht.htm. I also found out that you can track it's location on this website: http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shipposition.phtml?call=PCEO. I have also found out here that it was built in Japan and finished in the year 2000.
In other news: Paul was buying ice cream today, and so was I hehe. This van comes to my work sometimes. The email saying "ICECREAM" that gets sent out company-wide always makes me very happy.
