So long Cocky-girl...

I brought birthday cake to work. A big fat fruit flan with a lot of cream and custard and fruit. Delicious.

Another day, another fake fire alarm.

Down in to the Woolworths pit of hell during lunch.

There was a guy playing a piano in Rundle mall.

In the next suburb there was a pretty big, REAL fire.

And when we came home... somebody was missing. We found the food-door of cocky-girl's cage open and cocky girl was gone. I am wondering if I forgot to close it...

Confused

Bus lane, or bicycle lane from 7-10AM. WTF? On the road there were the letters "BL" but also pictures of a bicycle. It was close to 9AM when we passed and that lane was full of cars. It was all very confusing to me.

There was a fire alarm close by. Naturally, there was nothing going down.

For lunch I bought Chili con carne with chicken but I made a mistake. I ordered it in a wrap. It's a miracle I didn't get anything on my clothes.

For the second time this week I had to look at this granny shoving her pensioners card in my face on the bus. It reads "The holder is a valued member of our community. Please extend every courtesy and assistance.". I looked up the criteria to become a "valued member of our community" and they are:
  • you are aged 60 years or older and
  • you are a permanent Australian resident and
  • you are not working more than an average 20 hours per week in paid employment

I guess I won't be a valued member of our community for a while...

Hello

Walking to work this morning.

Waiting for the lights at "the horsie".

Lunch in the sun.

When I walked back a fire truck came to say hi to me :-)

Birgitte and Rob

Matar paneer.

No sun today. Just grey clouds. It actually started raining when I took this photo. I had to go back to the office early...

But not before another fire truck raced to another false alarm!

The leaves have beautiful colours now.

In the evening we met up with Birgitte and Rob. We went to dinner and later we went to the Belgian Beer Bar.

Nicole, Birgitte and Rob.

It was really very nice to see Birgitte again and to meet Rob. Thanks to both of you for an evening very well spent :-)

When I came home there was a postcard from Ilse and Cassie, thanks guys :-)

The juggler

Morning sky.

Morning driving.

The sun was out during lunch.

And so were lots of people. Well, for this time of year anyway.

And yes! There was a FALSE fire alarm again. Out of the whole building only 12 people evacuated. I think the rest can't be fucked anymore. Very safe! The "fire starter" actually gets fined for setting off a false alarm. I would really like to know who does this all the time and how. What morons....

When Nicole came home she picked me up and...

... we drove to Cafe de Vili! Yes, I ate lots of bad stuff. But it was gooooooooooood :-P

On our way home we remembered I'm out of milk. Can't have that so we went past the super market where Nicole juggled with oranges a bit.

People need food.

Pigeons flying like vultures.

A fire truck I had not seen before.

Space Invaders!

A new day starts.

Day three of the internal course at work.

I found a space invader on my screen. It wasn't actually meant to be one but it makes the whole gig a hell of a lot more fun when you think it's a space invader...

My faithful colleagues Melvin and Luke. They are always good for a laugh :-)

The firies came out for no reason yet again.

I just love photographing the fountain at Victoria Square.

There were lots of kids AGAIN! Luckily not that many this time.

I sat under this tree. I like trees and trees like me. I can feel it.

On my way home, waiting for the bus. The sky was crying.

Wicked photo action from a bumpy bus. Must've hit one of 10,000 potholes in the road here...

Same shit, different day

Toastie alarm, AGAIN! At the same place as yesterday!

My lunch, just like yesterday but with a dosa added to it. A dosa is a sort of pancake but made from rice-powder and lentils. That's a lot better than wheat flower.

In the evening I went to the doctor to get a prescription for some skin medication. I was the last person for the day.

After that we went shopping.

The Matar paneer

I got some Matar paneer for lunch today. This stuff has serious potential to turn me vegetarian. Of course I won't turn vegetarian but I am enjoying a lot more meat-less dishes these days which is a good thing in my opinion.

By the way, notice the beautiful Indian-Dutch combination of Paneer / papadum and milk :-)

The firies responded to another burned toastie alarm across the street today.

Late again damnit II

If I skip breakfast at home and have it in town, I can sleep 20 minutes longer which makes a BIG difference for me. Hence I got off a bit before my work to hop in to a deli to buy a little packet of cow juice. (You can take the dude out of Holland, but you can't take Holland out of the dude!)

Then I walked to Cibo to get a toasted croissant with ham and cheese. I started work around 8:20.

When I came back from lunch the neighbours had somehow magically set off their fire alarm this time so the firies had to do another use less drive by. Here's truck one.

And here's truck two. There's always two trucks. They might as well send a guy on a bicycle just to turn off the alarm.

Around 16:30 I went out to get a coke. I needed a break knowing that I was only just past half my working time for today. Lots of people were already waiting for the bus to go home.

Around 18:00 I went out to get some dinner. I couldn't focus anymore and needed a break badly. I walked past all these girls and they just kept looking at me. But they were all wearing very thick black eye-liner and i really don't like that. Yuck. I wonder if they are supposed to look sexy or cool or both. I think look trashy, especially the one in the middle with the holes in her jeans. I can't stand jeans with holes. I felt like taking them with me to Mc D.

Mc D. was booming. It's such a happening place.

I ordered a cheese burger plain (only bread+meat+cheese, no sauce), McNuggets with sweet and sour sauce and fries. And a medium coke.

At least it was nice and quiet and I had a good break. The food had lost it's freshness a bit though.

When I walked back I walked through this intriguing little street called "Twin Street". There was clothing shop for big men. It looked nice. Must have a look soon.

There was a side street with more intriguing buildings.

These are the "neglected" sides of buildings.

Before returning to work I also passed this car park entrance. I left work at 20:15 tonight.

This circuit is for Cyber_Tyger. I'm currently figuring out how the capacitors influence stuff.
