Watching soccer in HQ

As of now, every photo will be available in a larger version by default.

My breakfast. Well, it was around lunchtime really...

I stopped at Nic's cake shop (Cake Loves Coffee) when I went shopping and I ran in to Anna. It was nice seeing her.

Late arvo I walked in to town to see Holland play Denmark in Mulligans. I was accompanied by Miriam, Alex, Max and Alie and it was fun.

The outcome of the game required strong measures.

That's how people drown in our canals. They get pissed and feel they can swim around the world. When their alcoholic bodies are in the water they realise how freakin' cold it actually is and they get cramps and stuff and slowly float to the bottom. (Not these 2 thankfully but it does happen...)

The Sinterklaas loot

This is my Sinterklaas loot. Some VERY nice scales, another bonsai, a box of technical Lego (funny!) and some marzipan.

And this was my breakfast. It was grrrrrrreat :-)

Breakfast dessert.

And I got another Christmas card.

While I was having dinner I watched some car-action on TV.

Always good, car-action :-)

Alalé

This morning's breakfast. I had to empty the fridge coz I'm going away for a week. These grapes are probably going to make me ehm... nevermind.

The day was uneventful until the evening. Alalé was playing in Mulligans again. Fantastic band. Martina and Sean were behind the bar.

Alalé. Very good band. Good strong music, nice tempo. I like.

Walking home through the Leidsestraat. I think my camera was drunk by the looks of it.

I Amsterdam

Breakfast.

My sister was in the neighbourhood and had a few minutes to spare so she came to visit me. She was very entertaining to some painters passing by. Possibly coz she carries a gun...

I don't like guns but I do like my sister. We're gonna have lunch in town on Sunday :-)

My parents had been over earlier. They brought one of the two boxes I sent. This box contained a feather of Cocky-girl that I found on the floor once. I like it a lot.

Mid afternoon I walked to a council office. I took a route through the Vondelpark.

They are still working on the museum. Everything takes fucking ages in this country. In Adelaide they build one whole overpass in a very busy intersection in one year...

I waited at the line at the council office.

They made little rooms for people to be served in private. I registered with the city again so now I am an official Amsterdammer again.

Afterwards I was hungry and realised I missed lunch. Since I was close I went to Waga's.

I waited for the tram home at Leidseplein.

Got pears?

This is David Bowie Pigeon. She has a bright eye and a dark eye. She also likes to peck toes and my rings.

Sir Cocky-boy rushing over to get patted. He has to walk side ways.

The morning sky. There were hardly any clouds. It was just beautiful.

Nicole reading a bit while waiting for me to get ready to go in to town for breakfast.

Scoozi's in Rundle Street. Since it was already mid morning and a week-day it was not very busy. It suited me just fine.

After dropping Nicole off at work I drove to Bunnings to get 6mm steel rod with which I will attempt to fix my hand-mower.

After Bunnings I drove to the super market. I bought pears, amongst other things.

It was... exciting.

Ilse's card finally arrived. It was for my birthday but also to wish me a safe trip home. Thank you! :-)

I was pointed towards this online video series about the people from a certain World of Warcraft guild. It's very funny and sometimes scary recognizable.

Five out of six guild members (Note: a guild must have a minimum of ten members...)

My super breakfast

We went in to town today to buy a few things. So why not have breakfast there as well?

This was my breakfast. I just didn't feel like eating a ham/cheese croissant again. Yes, I skipped lunch...

I love this row of houses in Rundle Street. Very wild-west.

Speaking of wild-west...

Then we went to Myer to buy a new hairdryer (the old one exploded). This was NOT for me by the way...

They were selling a bloody poffertjes pan!

On our way back to the car we bought some fresh juice.

And we went to Haigh's to buy some chocolates.

I bought myself this little external cd/dvd reader/writer for my little laptop. It's USB powered which is very handy.

At home I wanted to mow the lawn but my lawn mower is screwed. That little gear wheel has a mechanism inside that fails too often. I have to fix that but I need a little bit of steel rod for that.

This is the inside of the wheel, you can see how it drives the little gear wheel.

The loading zone

Plant.

We had brunch at Scoozi's. Pizza FTW!

And a cappuccino.

After a very relaxed morning we had to get stressed in the supermarket. I thought the loading zone looked cool.

I picked untouched apples.

Our shopping. A lot of healthy stuff I think. No sugar things, no crisps.

Apparently Sméagol shops at our mall as well. Didn't see him though. Must've been looking for his presciousssss.

I spent a very large part of the afternoon on the veranda. I sat in the sun and read a book. So relaxing.

Feeding time.
