This is sir. As Nic and I were leaving the house he came over for a little pat. He's funny. He likes human attention. We pat him on his head and his cheeks. I'm careful though because I patted him wrong once and he tried to nab my finger. And we don't want that! But I love him.
We were going to eat something while at the market but on the way we decided to go to Scoozi's instead. We parked in the park and this mag pie came to say hello to us. Beautiful bird with a gigantic beak.
We sat outside at Scoozi's. It was about 9:30, raining and quiet. Perfect for me because the alcoholic beverages from the night before had left me with a bit of a headache. I'm not used to alcohol anymore it seems. Probably because we hardly go out to the pub here...
So we went to the Central Market in town.
And then to the supermarket. Because they don't sell milk and toilet paper at the market. I was getting quite cranky by then.
When I got home I started playing World of Warcraft and I found my peace again. I hadn't played in over two weeks...

The birds
Our palm tree.
The tree at Victoria Square.
Somehow a pizza was stuck to the ground behind the bench and attracted loads of pigeons.
A big mag pie was interested as well and the pigeons disappeared.
A little miner bird was also developing an interest.
And when the mag pie left...
... the miner bird took its chance.
After work we went out for drinks. Because the Adelaide office RULES! We made a lot of money in June and July so we earned booz. This was the view.
Colleagues Mohit and Dave.
Colleague Justin, girlfriend of colleague Luke; Natalie, and colleague Buddy.
Colleagues Ben and Craig.
They have carpaccio here which I ordered at the bar.
Afterwards I walked to my pickup spot. I passed the fountain in Rundle mall.
Big city bright lights.
The war memorial at night.

Confused
Bus lane, or bicycle lane from 7-10AM. WTF? On the road there were the letters "BL" but also pictures of a bicycle. It was close to 9AM when we passed and that lane was full of cars. It was all very confusing to me.
There was a fire alarm close by. Naturally, there was nothing going down.
For lunch I bought Chili con carne with chicken but I made a mistake. I ordered it in a wrap. It's a miracle I didn't get anything on my clothes.
For the second time this week I had to look at this granny shoving her pensioners card in my face on the bus. It reads "The holder is a valued member of our community. Please extend every courtesy and assistance.". I looked up the criteria to become a "valued member of our community" and they are:
I guess I won't be a valued member of our community for a while...

Mason and I visited the boab tree.
On this path you have to jump over the bicycle.
We had breakfast in town (yes, again!) and I ordered very little to keep room for FAMOUS ADELAIDE POFFERTJES!
When we walked back to the car, we saw these guys sitting in a tree. They talked a lot. (click to enlarge)
Beautiful little bird.
They had a nest inside the hollow end of a branch.
The view in to the park.
When we came home I took mason for a walk. There are lots of flowers that are in bloom right now.
Mason pretending to be a cow. He was a very good boy but he still loves to pull. I don't think that will ever change, and that's OK. He listens well to stop and sit commands. It was lovely to walk with him again. (click to enlarge)
We walked all the way down to the boab tree. It's a beautiful tree that soaks up tons of water. It's a very rare tree I believe.
On the way home we saw Caesar. He was a good boy too :-)
