The pool-party

In between getting ready for our holiday we went to a pool party where we also watched the Holland vs. Chile game. Thankfully Holland won. I hate penalties!

Brasil vs Colombia

I saw bits of Germany vs France but I liked Brasil vs Colombia better. I'm not a big fan of the Brasil players I must say. So I was happy when Colombia got their penalty awarded.

Just before the penalty went in. Unfortunately Brasil won. I think they played rather dirty and they won because of a free kick that never should've been awarded... Big mistake by the ref.

Finishing my engine!

Selfie!

Simone's boy gave me an AZ poster. I think that was very nice of him so I hung it up at work :-)

When I walked home I saw guys dancing in underwear. Yesterday there was just 1 guy dancing in underwear. I fear for tomorrow...

I only went home to get the keys to my garage. I was just connecting the last 2 remaining hoses when Mic showed up. He assisted a bit and then I fired the engine. It took a few times but eventually it ran super. I was very pleased :-)

When I come back from vacation I can make an appointment to have my car registered again.

Then it was time to feed!

Mic feeding himself. It's kinda like going to the ZOO ;-)

And for desert we went to Mulligans. There was a pretty decent little bluegrass band from Sweden. Nice tunes. And I drank nice cider too.

Polonaise

This photo was actually taken last Friday when I went out with colleagues but we received it only today. We had to do these assignments and one of them was to find tourists to take a photo with. This was fun :-)

My colleague Sylvester had his birthday today and he brought cake along to work. Very nice start of the week :-)

Putting back the valve cover

I went home from Simone's early morning but public transport was disrupted because a car was hit by a tram. After a while I decided to take the bus. Good call...

I went back to my car and with a specific tool called a "gasket remover", which I borrowed from Erik, Simone's sister's boyfriend. What a blessing that tool was! I scraped off every little bit of gasket that was stuck until the edge was totally clean and nothing (I could see) fell inside.

I then removed the old connector and gave the cover a bit of a clean.

Clean and now with the new connector.

I placed the new gasket and kept it in place by putting bits of metal wire in the holes for the screws.

The I put back the cover and screwed it back on.

Voila. Ready for the final step: attaching the hoses that complete the PCV system.

I had to leave early again, but not without buying ice cream again :-)

In the evening I watched Holland beat Mexico at Simone's.

Here Huntelaar is taking a penalty.

The Mexican goalie guessed wrong...

Later that evening there was a double rainbow :-)
