I was busy at work today. I really wanted to get something done and it worked. Even though my colleagues slowed me down by buying me farewell cake and offering a farewell card with nice messages and a voucher to eat in one of Adelaide's finest establishments. I will enjoy that very much!
On the way home it was busy as well. because it rained. And in Adelaide people panic when a few drops fall down and traffic slowly grinds to a halt...
In the morning I started putting together a reverse loop controller that I designed. The tests went well so why not give it a go.
The day flew by and by the time I left the house for the first time it was dark. We went to the bank to get cash out.
After we went to Cafe de Vili's. I hadn't had dinner yet.
The Rundle Lantern was broken. It wasn't moving and it was only displaying half.
On the way back we drove through town.
This is the finished proto type of my reverse loop controller. It is unfortunately not working. The relays heat up for some reason. Sounds like a short to me but I am yet to find out where...
What nicer way to start the day can you think of than to walk outside and hand-feed a cute little bird?
My view during lunch. This fence did not have a door. Funny.
This is the front of the church I sit next to. I sat under the trees.
My other little plant at work is now growing new shoots as well. It must like it.
After work I walked to Nicole. I have discovered that it's quite pleasant to walk over. It clears the head and it's good to move a bit. I sneakily took this photo of Nicole's colleagues.
This is the Rundle Lantern from underneath.
We drove to the beach after work. That black dot is the sun that I forgot to photoshop out. My camera can't handle the brightness of it. There was a newly married couple taking photo's on the Jetty.
We had dinner at the Thai Orchid restaurant. It was fantastic.
After dinner we went on the jetty a bit. It was very windy and the waves were BIG.
This old fella comes to feed the pigeons in the park sometimes.
He brings two bags of bread and makes lots of friends.
After work we had drinks at The Historian pub close by.
From left to right my colleagues Mark, Dave and Justin.
From left to right my colleagues Justin, Dale, Melvin and Mohit. Dale will be working in Singapore for 5-6 weeks.
While walking to restaurant Lemongrass where I was meeting Nicole for dinner (Grilled Barramundi fish with vegetables and rice) I passed the display where tonight's light show would be held.
Nicole on the right and the kitchen entry on the left.
After seven o'clock we walked down to the light show and waited.
They tried entertaining the waiting crowd with funny walking beings.
Then there were some speeches in which all the 5 million people who were somehow involved in creating this show were mentioned in a biblical manner. It was therefore also just as thrilling as that part of the bible. If you don't know what I'm talking about you're a bad, bad christian! ;-P
More people gathered.
It got dark....
And then it started. This display will be on every night from about 7 pm till midnight if I'm not mistaken. I think it's great. Better then the crap advertising screen at Rembrand square in A'dam. This thing has Las Vegas proportions.
