The dark sea

Morning market madness.

Fresh produce (mostly).

Nicole shopping.

Driving through our back streets.

Little birds sitting on the power lines. Countries with power lines above ground are a little bit backwards in my book really...

Nicole waiting for dinner.

I was also waiting for dinner.

After dinner we drove to the beach for a breathe of fresh air.

Shit weather again.

I got a toasted ham/cheese croissant from Cibo this morning.

I had to wait a bit but it wasn't very boring or anything ;-)

The weather on the other hand was horrible.

I love lunching out

I was meeting Nicole for lunch today. We also went to look for a new mac book for her.

We landed at Scoozi's. Always a pleasure to sit on their terrace. They make nice food too. I had a pizza - prosciutto and salami.

The car was parked in the park. What else do you do in a park? ;-P

Routine at home. 50 minutes of sweating before anything else. Second best run ever. Don't mind the kilometres, I think that calculation is funny...

Shit weather.

I slept wonderfully, until 4:30 when I needed to go to the loo and the cold woke me up for the rest of the day. When I left for work I found little doggy foot prints on the veranda.

The weather was stunning today... Not.

The most colourful thing that happened today was this cake made by my boss' kids. I think they had to get rid of 20Kg of left over sugar or something ;-)

It was great to taste some sugar again though because I've cut myself off of the sugar 6 weeks ago.

I caught this ambulance driving the wrong way. Should I report it? ;-P

My new friend, Peter.

There are *seriously* too many busses driving in the city here. Pollution is insane.

We went to the supermarket because our fridge was empty. First things first: 5 litres of milk.

Nic looking at vegetables, or something.

Meet my new friend Peter :-)

The catch of the day: a slab of Grolsch!

Fountain: Off.

I sat in the sun during lunch. I ate Matar Paneer and a paratta. And I drank milk. Good stuff.

For the uninitiated: Matar Paneer is an Indian dish of blocks of moist, mild white cheese in a tomato sauce with peas. It's healthy and delicious. A paratta is an Indian pancake that is actually very similar to a Dutch one funnily enough.

Henley Beach

I drove Nicole to work this morning and filled up the car on the way home.

(Click picture for bigger version)
After having burned more fat on the cross trainer, have a shower, hang up washing and doing the dishes I looked up how to drive to Henley beach and I took off. I could not spend another afternoon in our trailer.

I managed to park the car after driving around the parking lot only once. There were quite a few people.

The jetty.

Eventually I managed to get a spot on a bench with a nice view. Just before this I was bombed by a seagull with a piece of soaked bread.

There were wedding pictures taken as well.

Around 16:00 it got a bit more quiet.

The sun started setting.

Me when I came home.
