G for "Good".

I had to get a lamp for my bathroom so I went to town. It was conveniently close to Blue where I got coffee and cake :-)

The view.

My new lamp's energy label. G means "Good", right? ;-)

I had to fix the lights fitting but I couldn't be arsed taking off the power. What can I say, I like living on the edge hehe.

I had a fan in the afternoon.

Peter Paul came by tonight and we had dinner and drinks. It was very nice catching up!

Little Cocky-boy has left the building.

Today I heard that on November 1st, All Saints day, my little very big friend Cocky-boy has died. I like animals but I never had anything with birds really except for this little Galah. He died at the age of 40+ (human years). He was always in good spirits and he loved the big cage that Nicole and I bought for him. He could speak, dance AND laugh. I think he actually learned to laugh from me, correct me if I'm wrong... Whenever you would approach his cage he'd always come up to you for a little pat on the head. It was so nice to come home late at night and he'd welcome you with "Hello! Hello cocky! Hello cocky-boy". And if I'd start to laugh, he'd sometimes frantically take over until he almost choked. I hope his little bird spirit is now free and that he will return as a beautiful strong Galah again and fly over Australia in freedom.

My day:

Somebody was not very awake when putting up the flag...

It was very windy today, not too wet thankfully.

I got my storm umbrella. This is a droplet shaped brolly that can withstand very hard wind due to it's shape but also it's construction. It's a Dutch invention and it doesn't come cheap.

The blue blog

I photographed some buildings I pass when I go to work:

HEMA headquarters.

I watched a Star Wars movie at night.

Cable failure x 4.

In peak hour traffic tram line power cables snapped in 4 places in the inner city. Usually it happens only in 1 place but no, 4 places at once today. Great. This was the tram directly blocking mine. They took the power off the complete grid.

Trams were standing still in other places as well.

Nantko

I had half a day off and worked from home the other half. In the evening I went to visit my friend Nantko in the hospital. He had most of his stomach removed as well as a bunch of lymph nodes and part of his pancreas. Oh, and also his spleen due to a bacterial infection earlier. Now he's looking at 9 more weeks of chemo. Lets all hope he'll get better.

Halloween

I went to my friend Eva's in the evening. I watched a bit of tennis...

... while she was making a very nice lasagna :-)

Nouska. (probably misspelled)

We went to Mulligans for a bit of a halloween party.

Patricia and Martijn were there as well as many other friends.

I was a bit of a casual vampire.

Eva was very scared ;-)

I walked home around 2:30. There were surprisingly few people on the street.
