Today started with a church sale. The church across the road was selling all kinds of second, third and more hand things.
Then it was grocery time. I was surprised to see that Mtv has it's own hardware brand making different kinds of electronic equipment. There are digital media...
... dvd players and set top boxes...
And USB cupholders with a heating element AND external power supply. The latter is somewhat disappointing but understandable.
In the afternoon I drove us to the tennis court to meet Stephen and Lachlan, his boy, for 2 sets of tennis. The surroundings there are just fantastic. This is the oval (fields are also called ovals here, even if they're square), very spacious.
Then somewhat more left are 2 courts.
And a little more to the left you can find 4 more courts. All in good condition, real nets etc.
Stephen's tennis has improved a fair bit unfortunately this picture doesn't tell.
I dunno what was going on here.
This is Lachlan, who was cheering for us all the time.
The 2 set match ended in a tie: 6-3 and 0-6 (I reckon Lachlan distracted me too much during the 2nd set)

The wait
Nicole went for a job interview today. I wanted to come along and wait outside for her. I took my book and walked until I found a nice place to read. This is the old post office.
I walked towards Victoria square where I sat down on a bench.
Someone sat on the bench close by to smoke some pot.
After she left some guy sat down with a fixation for his mobile phone. later he would call a friend and tell him he bought the phone and a portable radio at cash converters.
Trams were passing.
I was reading one of my Ludlum's.
Close-up of the fountain.
Lesser close-up of the fountain.
Walking action in front of the fountain.
In the evening we had a dinner date with Gianna and Greg. On the way there we walked past this row of houses. I photographed them some time ago as well.
We had dinner at an Italian restaurant called "Amalfi". It was quite good in every way but very noisy.

New shoes
This morning we went into town to get some dress-shoes for Nicole. We found a lovely shoe shop (men/women) in Rundle street with nice, good staff too.
Nicole was very happy with her new shoes.
We walked through the Adelaide Arcade, an old mall in Rundle mall.
And what did we find? A chocolate shop! And what do they have? De Ruijter chocolate sprinkles! Hadn't found those yet.
When we came home I walked Mason. he was a bit of a turd today, kept pulling, very annoying.
At some point we were standing under a tree and I kept hearing this incredibly loud bird noise. So I looked up looking for a BIG bird coz that's what it sounded like... It was that little dot on the power line you see in the picture, unreal.

A taste of Amsterdam
In the morning the weather was shite. All day it's been rainy, incredibly windy and cold. About 17C cold. It is not funny.
Nicole needed some new shoes and pants. We went to Aaaaaaahrndale scum city central shopping centre coz there's a Big W store there.
Nicole was stunned by the fantastic (not) design of these shoes that made us think we were back in Amsterdam for a minute.
In the afternoon I did some shopping for myself. I got a soldering station, digital multimeter, a bunch of electronic components, a breadboard and some related stuff.

Tennis Tuesday
In the morning we went to Harris Scarfe to look for shoes for Nicole. We didn't find any so we looked somewhere else. I found a nice pair of tennis shoes and Nicole still has none...
This photo looks one way into Rundle mall.
This looks the other way.
We hit a terrace early afternoon.
In the evening it was time for tennis again and what do you know? I beat Karin in a one set match for the first time EVER. I made a come back from 4-1 to 4-6.
Later on Andrew dropped by and we played doubles.
Nicole had a few hits as well.
Here we see Gavin and Andrew, the dynamic duo.

Yuppystan
Today we visited the new area at Glenelg, rather disappointing I thought. The place totally lacks atmosphere. The giant turd that was there before had more atmosphere...
This is a ferris wheel they're building at Glenelg. So all the yuppies can have fun when their yachts are in repair I guess.
This is an old rotunda the yuppies probably couldn't get rid of coz it's on a heritage list or something.
This is the yuppies new marina including their yachts. Their new apartments in the background.
Another view of the marina. Rather a boring one me thinks.
This is the beach side of the new apartment building at Glenelg. Almost just as boring as the marina.
