I received Eva's baby card! Eva is now mother of Emma! We still have to go visit her...

I read a book about naive art, specifically naive art of Amsterdam. It was interesting but it didn't take very long before I wanted to close my eyes ;-)

Eva's soft toy

Construction in front of the HEMA headoffice is going strong.

People must be getting sick of all the cyclists in front of the IJ-kantine. They have now put big obstacles in their way but I don't think it helps all that much...

In the evening I visited my friend Eva who is now about 8 months pregnant. Ze made this little soft toy herself. I think it's very cool :-)

I found this parked infront of my house when I got home. It's a Chevrolet Impala wagon from 1977 I believe. Nice!

... And so the burned out remains of what once was CityBox in Amsterdam Noord is reduced to rubble, sand and dust.

After work I missed my ferry so I sat in the sun a bit. It was a beautiful summer's day.

In the evening I played squash with Eva. It was great being sporty but it was also great having dinner on their terrace. I skipped the alcoholic beverages tonight ;-)

There is a tram line that you cross when walking/driving to the Frans Otten stadion and it looks deserted. But, there's still a powerline above it and warning lights. For the first time tonight I saw an old tram crossing. Awesome! I think the line is used for keeping old stock rolling. I like!

I found Nemo!

Skies turned grey as I was going home.

I met Eva for dinner tonight. She was very happy coz she's going on vacation soon. I need vacation as well.

We had dinner at I trulli. Just before we left we checked out their tropical aquarium. Nemo was hiding ;-)

I played squash with Eva tonight and we had dinner afterwards. The fish and chips was very average which means I'm not ordering it anymore.

Going home I saw this car. It's an electric car. Looks pretty awesome!

It's a Fisker. Never heard of it before...

I had dinner with Eva. She cheered me up after the shit day I had at work.

The card

I received a really lovely and sweet Christmas card from Simone today. I like it a lot.

And in the evening I played squash with Eva followed by dinner. It's insane how much food can go in to this little girl...

Risky business!

I wore this Guinness shirt for the first time since I bought it, many, many tears ago. It never fitted, until today...

During the first game I was hardly a part of the game.

During the second game I managed to conquer and keep Australia and from there I fulfilled my assignment and won! I had to conquer 24 countries.

We also played a third game that Eva won.

Lovely to see her again, very nice dinner at my old regular Italian around the corner of where I used to live before I moved to Australia.

40 years of Vincent

Chocolate caramel pie at work for my birthday. I turned 40 today.

Lots of colleagues came to collect a piece. These guys always show up: Geert, Guido, Wim and Norbert.

One of my pie's biggest little fans, Ilse. She's only little but she eats the biggest pieces, awesome, best customer ;-)

The outfit (Tee and glasses) was a gift from Tanja. Yeah, thanks! haha

I left work early coz I took the arvo off. There were 2 Egyptian geese with a baby. Baby was playing Superman.

I was meeting people pre-dinner in Mulligans. When I got there Nicole and Marjolein were waiting for me already. Lovely welcome :-)

Then it was off to the pub where I was surprised by my good friend Jan who rocked up all se way from Sjermany!

Jan, Nancy (= Jan's sister) and Mic. We had a very full table and when people left, others would come in and join us. I had a terrific night, especially because my girlfriend Simone dropped by for a bit as well. She looked fantastic. I was very happy to see her :-)

At 3AM Nancy and I were kicked out together with Ruud and Laurien who arrived after the pics were taken. I haven't been kicked out of the pub for a while ;-)

Danny gave me a comic that looks real cool! The tubs with chocolate goodies are from Nicole, whisky from Gerrit and a T-shirt from Mulligans. I keep telling people not to buy me a gift but some just can't resist ;-)

Kanen aan het IJ

Today after work I visited a weekly dining festival that started this summer. It's every wednesday night just across from Central Station. It roughly translates to "Munching at the IJ". The "IJ" is the body of water behind Central Station.

Eva, Gerrit and yours truly. All the seats were taken so we walked to the riverbanks and sat down there.
