Space Invaders!

A new day starts.

Day three of the internal course at work.

I found a space invader on my screen. It wasn't actually meant to be one but it makes the whole gig a hell of a lot more fun when you think it's a space invader...

My faithful colleagues Melvin and Luke. They are always good for a laugh :-)

The firies came out for no reason yet again.

I just love photographing the fountain at Victoria Square.

There were lots of kids AGAIN! Luckily not that many this time.

I sat under this tree. I like trees and trees like me. I can feel it.

On my way home, waiting for the bus. The sky was crying.

Wicked photo action from a bumpy bus. Must've hit one of 10,000 potholes in the road here...

Dabbawalla

Mohit had taken leftover Indian food to work which he heated up for us for lunch. It was THE best ever.

My two Indian colleagues Melvin and Mohit. I think they're a little bit crazy, but in a good way! ;-)

After lunch we discussed a funny profession only found in Mumbai, India: the Dabbawalla. A dabbawalla is a person bringing lunch boxes from A to B. So for about $5 a month you can have the dabbawalla pick your lunch up from home, bring it over around lunch time (and they are incredibly accurate!) and in the afternoon he comes to collect the empty container and brings it to your house again. More info on Wikipedia.

There was another protest across the street today. It only lasted 15 minutes.

After work I sat on the grass at Victoria Square while waiting for Nicole to meet me at the Central Market. I was close to the Aboriginal flag so I made a close shot. Finally a decent photo.

It was nice and quiet where i was sitting. Everybody was going home.

I was deciding on the blue pill or the red pill...

The market was pretty busy. Lots of people go shopping after work apparently.

I didn't know these guys were still around!

There's a pretty good flower shop.

At the market we bought tomatoes and basil to make bruschetta at home.

I made bruschetta for the first time and it was soooooooo good :-)

The wonder twins

Sitting/standing around the boardroom table at work.

We had cake today.

The wonder twins! Luke (left) and Melvin (right) both had their birth days today. They bought us fantastic cakes.

Rambo Luke is never shy of showing his affection for people.

This was my lunch. Beetroot-pine apple juice and a garlic bread. Very good. Especially the juice. I feel so healthy now. And cleansed too.
