The birds

Our palm tree.

The tree at Victoria Square.

Somehow a pizza was stuck to the ground behind the bench and attracted loads of pigeons.

A big mag pie was interested as well and the pigeons disappeared.

A little miner bird was also developing an interest.

And when the mag pie left...

... the miner bird took its chance.

After work we went out for drinks. Because the Adelaide office RULES! We made a lot of money in June and July so we earned booz. This was the view.

Colleagues Mohit and Dave.

Colleague Justin, girlfriend of colleague Luke; Natalie, and colleague Buddy.

Colleagues Ben and Craig.

They have carpaccio here which I ordered at the bar.

Afterwards I walked to my pickup spot. I passed the fountain in Rundle mall.

Big city bright lights.

The war memorial at night.

The couch models

I bought breakfast at the supermarket this morning. It was actually very nice.

Lunch was at Victoria square again, in the sun.

At work we got two couches! We now have a proper seating area where we can rest after working very hard. I modeled the couches with my colleague Mohit :-)

Dabbawalla

Mohit had taken leftover Indian food to work which he heated up for us for lunch. It was THE best ever.

My two Indian colleagues Melvin and Mohit. I think they're a little bit crazy, but in a good way! ;-)

After lunch we discussed a funny profession only found in Mumbai, India: the Dabbawalla. A dabbawalla is a person bringing lunch boxes from A to B. So for about $5 a month you can have the dabbawalla pick your lunch up from home, bring it over around lunch time (and they are incredibly accurate!) and in the afternoon he comes to collect the empty container and brings it to your house again. More info on Wikipedia.

There was another protest across the street today. It only lasted 15 minutes.

After work I sat on the grass at Victoria Square while waiting for Nicole to meet me at the Central Market. I was close to the Aboriginal flag so I made a close shot. Finally a decent photo.

It was nice and quiet where i was sitting. Everybody was going home.

I was deciding on the blue pill or the red pill...

The market was pretty busy. Lots of people go shopping after work apparently.

I didn't know these guys were still around!

There's a pretty good flower shop.

At the market we bought tomatoes and basil to make bruschetta at home.

I made bruschetta for the first time and it was soooooooo good :-)

Breakfast at Scoozi's

This morning we went to Scoozi's for breakfast with some of my colleagues. This are Mohit and Nicole.

This are Luke and Natalie.

Cyclists were swarming around us all the time.

The fairy was there again too! I love the fairies. They're crazy :-)

On our way home we spotted beautiful (not) golden heels. They were also two sizes too big. Unfortunately the photo shows nothing of it all...

Early evening I played a game of tennis with Stephen. Very sweaty.

Lunch with Mohit

Mohit invited us over to have lunch at his place today. He has a little cockatiel of 14 weeks old.

This is the car he bought recently. It's in a pretty good state considering it's 11 years old.

Mohit and Nicole discussing car details, or something.

Mohit got up early and had been coking from 7:30 in the morning. He's a good cook.

His little bird likes a mirror.

We also watched half of a Bollywood movie which, much to my surprise, I actually enjoyed. It was about this guy...

... and this very pretty girl.

Later my colleague Dale and his girl friend Chantal also joined us. It was nice meeting Chantal.

Our gracious and (overly ;-) hospitable host Mohit.

When we came home it was still 38C outside. I tried a new cooling technique by sticking my head in a Woolworths cooling bag. It didn't work.
