Last day at the old office.

Tomorrow we move in the new office. This means I only have to take the ferry one more last time to work tomorrow and that's it. No more ferry. At least not to get to work...  So today I'm making a few pics of my journey to and from work one more time.

Leaving Amsterdam Central Station.

Passing the EYE and ADAM.

There are usually lots of seaguls flying behind the ferry. I never see one actually cathing a fish...

This is my current work location. The building is nearly empty apart from half of the ground floor.

At the end of the day I took my desk apart and put my stuff in 3 boxes. Tomorrow is D-day for us.

Walking back to the ferry I took some more photos.

My colleague Ernst cycled past but he's always in some other dimension it seems ;-)

The colourful student-housing.

Mess.

For some reason the busiest connection at the busiest time gets the smallest ferry. Seriously... This one does have 1 row of seats all the way at the back though and I love sitting in the corner. It gives me the feeling I'm doing a mini cruise for 10 minutes. I sat there one last time to enjoy the views.

IJ-kantine.

The Veronica ship.

View.

Ferry-folk.

The NSDM in Amsterdam North, a place beyond belief.

The views

I took some piccies whilst waiting for the ferry this morning. Turned out quite nice. This is the big bicycle parking at the back.

Looking West.

North.

Southwest.

East. Lovely crisp morning it was.

Never forget the good times

I've put my Choppermeister up for sale today. Parting will be difficult. I've had great times with it. Most enjoyable rides and rides to forget my pain several times. But I'm not using it anymore and it's just gathering dust so it has to go.

I met Nicole after work. She's in the Dam for a little vacation. We took the ferry to meet up with Gerrit and have dinner.

I don't usually take this ferry. Great views here.

Central Station.

We went to an Italian resto. The starter was fantastic.

Nicole brought me and Gerrit a little gift. I love this stuff and it's hard to come by here. It was lovely to see Nicole again. We all laughed a lot. Never forget the good times.

The jetty.

I had to wait for the ferry this morning. It was freezing cold but the sunrise was lovely so I made a few photos from the jetty. I hope you'll enjoy them :-)

Looking towards my work.

Looking across.

An old boat.

Central Station.

Looking East.

Two little ships.

This guy was sitting on a frozen bench, finishing a can of Heineken... At 8 AM.

"AMSTERDAM"

The roof over a new part of Amsterdam Central Station was finished a while ago. It reads "AMSTERDAM". Just incase you're lost in your little airplane I guess...

There are a few families of Nile (Egyptian) geese again. This is exactly half of one. These animals thrive like nothing else and I think they're telling all their friends.

Reading in the sun

Crossing with the ferry to work.

Crossing with the ferry from work.

Waiting for the tram in front of Central station.

When I came home I read a bit in the sun.

Magically my back was cleaned from debris!

The cruiseliner

The "Alpine Endurance" docked next door today. It's a big one.

Very much out of place these tourists came to the gates of Shipdock, our neighbours. I have no clue why tourists would be so deep in an industrial area...

On the ferry home this impressive cruise ship sailed past. It was huge.

Central station. The flag was out. I must've missed a royal birthday or something...

The advertising column in my street turned blue. It wasn't blue this morning I believe...

The cable-guy.

I went to Alkmaar today in a very dirty train.

My mom loves orchids. She has a few that are very pretty.

The main reason for my visit. I had to fix the ADSL/phone line. It was split incorrect so everytime their phone rang the internet connection would drop. It's all good now.

My dad in his natural habitat.

More of my moms orchids that are waiting to bloom.

My mom in the kitchen gasping at something my sister said.

Mom, dad, Ilse and Cassie.

Peace.

The train back home was a lot cleaner.

There is a full moon tonight I think.
