The pier of Velsen

When Simone was done working she picked me up and we first went to a birthday party of a friend's kid. Then we had dinner with her mom and then we went to Velsen for a walk along the pier. Big ships were coming and going.

There was a nice sunset.

Lovely.

It made for some pretty pictures.

Another big ship coming out.

Tata Steel.

The suitcases

Driving to work on the tram...

Tourists coming in already. Howmany suitcases do you need?..

Construction near my work.

Simone and I went for a walk again after dinner. The sunset was beautiful.

The Twiske reserve.

The beautiful sunset

Going home after work. The low sun made a beautiful light.

Lovely.

In the evening I went to Simone. She doesn't live here. This is Central Station ;-)

Church opposite the station.

The bike ride :-)

Lovely start of the day today! Sunny!

On the ferry to work.

Flowers along the water close to my work. There are a LOT of these... Actually think it's a weed. Looks nice though :-)

Sitting in the sun during lunch break.

Lunch-break view.

Since the weather was so fantastic, I went for a bicycle ride in the evening. First stop was Durgerdam. Lovely little village.

Durgerdam view.

I cycled along the dyke of the Markermeer. There were SO MANY insacts flying there that the seagulls were feasting on them.

Markermeer.

Then I cycled to Holysloot and then towards Ransdorp.

The Ransdorp church.

Church up close.

Sunset from Schellingwouderbrug. Pretty nice!

I came across this statue of a man and a sheep. Neat. It was very hidden and nearly missed it...

Almost home... I sat at one of my favourite spots in town for a bit. The fountain on Frederiksplein :-)

Checking the 'stang

I like going for a quick walk while eating my lunch. It's getting pretty sunny these days. Nice. I usually hang around near the water for 5 minutes. Clear my mind a bit.

In the evening I drove to Purmerend. I was meeting a girl I know from the Ford forum and her boyfriend.

He has a tiny garage and offered to lift my Mustang so we could examine the bottom. The car appeared to be in a very good shape. Nothing had been welded and all important parts had no rust. Actually there was hardly any rust.
I'm not thinking about removing the LPG setup. It likes petrol better and the car will look better and weigh a little less and become less complicated to maintain.

I saw the sun set when I drove home. Shouldn't take pictures while driving coz after this I found myself a bit off track ;-)

The fox

I happened to be in the neighbourhood *cough* and visited Marjolein at her work at the bird sanctuary.  I think it's very cool how she handles the birds like she's always done so :-)

After dinner we cycled in to the dunes to spot foxes.

Dune-scape.

And there it is! Probably about 150 metres away, photo taken with loads of zoom. It just sat there and looked at us. Until we got boring and then it disappeared in to the woods... Beautiful!

Very cool light coming through the trees.

There were also loads and loads of bunnies.

And deer. Well, we only saw this one.

And oxes.

The sunset was very pretty.

And then we cycled home again.

The first visitors from The NL!

I had my half yearly dental check-up this morning at 8:30. Nicole dropped me off on the way to work so I was a bit early and I waited outside, watching people pass me by.

My dentist still gives you a fluoride treatment. In The NL they stop doing that when you are about ten years old.

When I came home I saw the doves in our garden were exploring with their parents.

Here are the little rascals.

Mom feeding the little ones. Yes, feeding them both at the same time.

Later on some more feeding in the tree.

And a bit more exploring in our garden.

In between, two repair guys came by to fix our brand new cross trainer. It was a super easy fix but I didn't wanna do it myself due to warranty constraints.

I caught up with Gav and Mason when they left.

In the afternoon I drove to the airport with Tony to pickup our visitors Koen and Josie. I know Koen from years ago when I still sang in the choir. (Yes, I realise the choir news may shock you but it's for real, and I was NOT bad ;-P )

We had dinner in town and went to Largs Jetty for coffee and sunset.

And a sunset we had.

We drove home through town.
