The CuT50R1Ng

I want to make 2 sets of drawers for our Ikea cupboard. I cut the outsides of the drawersets. I'm not familiar with this machine. Also I'm a metal worker (not to mention PRECISION engineer) so Tony (Nic's father) was looking a bit funny when i was being uber-precise when measuring the wood. What can I say? It's a habit...

The result was nice. I haven't tried to put it together yet, maybe tomorrow. I needed a big fat shower after this and I had sawdust coming out of my nose the rest of the day. It was fun though!

Then we went to Officeworks to buy a bit more storagespace. And also I found these mints which taste rather excellent i must say! (Apologies for the focus issues of my phone-cam...)

The software day

I spent almost all day configuring my computer, installing new software and copying all my data back (that alone took hours).
Now Windows Vista can run under Mac OS X smoortly. Email is setup as well as browsing webpages. Skype too of course and World of Warcraft.

So there's only 1 picture, sorry. Shown is a feature called "spaces" from OS X. it allows you to have additional virtual screens, very handy. Left is Windows and right is OS X.

Our friends from last weekend, Trevor and Sharon dropped by today which was fun, but I forgot to make photo's...

The return

I have had this plate eversince I moved out.

Mason guarding (or blocking?) our door again.

On our way to a hardware store to get some gliders to make drawers in our Ikea cabinet.

Then after this we went to Gaganis Bros, a shop run by Greeks who import stuff from everywhere.

Spices...

Dried fruit...

Enormous amounts of it too...

While driving home we past a truck carrying chickenbreasts, chickenthighs, chickenheads, chickenhearts, chickenwings etc. etc. Those nasty animals kept throwing their white feathers at us! Not very polite...

And an ordinary day was soon to become an extra-ordinary day. We dropped by the Internode office to pick up our modem. (And Jaycar electronics to pick up their geek-stuff infested catalogue)

Upon arrival back at home this beautiful device was plugged in, fired up and it just worked! Our friend Gerrit was the first person to make contact through our own computers. This is his view (the Heineken hat was Nicole's idea!)

And finally, at last, I was able to once again, enter the world, of Warcraft!

The LEGO

"MATYBOY" has a very fancy plate.

The isle infront of the registers at Woolworths.

Grapes.

Apples (photo taken on a funny angle, sorry).

We had a bit of overcast (bewolking) in the morning. It makes it rather humid and eventhough it's not incredibly hot (27C) we do need the airco to cool us down from time to time.

I'm slowly getting rid of my boxes. This is what's left.

I managed to put away all my dvd's and cd's nicely.

Nicole needed a lemon for cooking so I got one from the tree in our garden.

This tree to be precise.

It was about 32C max today.

Ingredients for our dinner.

I took all my Lego with me. This is the Lego paddy wagon.

The Lego tow-truck that's actually from a ANWB set.

And a Lego doctor's car. Every year on my birthday or St. Nicholas I would get several Lego items. I love Lego, I still do. I don't do anything with it anymore though. But some day I might!

Going to the market

The veranda view early morning.

Some little fella was constantly staring at me...

We had lunch in Chinatown.

As it was lunchtime it got rather busy infront of our favourite place.

Nicole happy to have found the bargains of this decade I believe.

City view while driving home.

Frosty boy

And driving home again. Typical Aussie road view.

We stopped in Ardrossan. We were told of a great bakery there which we found.

People kept coming and going. It was busy. We bought a couple of things and indeed, they're GOOD!

Walking a bit further we reached beautiful red cliffs and a stunning blue sea.

I reckon this is where the world ends.

In the middle of town someone drew a mural.

The drawings depict all kinds of important happenings.

Frosty boy ice cream. Aparently it's icecream made with a powder...

The tennis

"On ya".

In the morning Karin and I had a game of tennis.

It was great exercise and fun and we both learned a bit. I had a lot more to learn than Karin though ;-)

In the afternoon we all drove to Port Vincent for a Fish and chips lunch. Superfresh fish, it was very yummmmm. The view was once again beautiful.

We found a giant table.

Supermarket posters.

This was the little cabin we rented. It had everything you needed.

"Tru blu" parked almost next door.

Nicole and I went for a small walk into town. On our way we saw these cockies sitting in a tree. They can be INCREDIBLY noisy, especially at the crack of dawn...

In Minlaton a man called Harry Butler once flew this airplane. It's suposed to be the last of it's kind.

Directions in the middle of town.

Along big roads in South Australia (and maybe elsewhere) they have put up markers to remind people of the importance to drive carefully. It's scary sometimes howmany red and black ones you see.

In the evening we watched the final of the Australian Open. I would have liked Tsonga to win but no. Maybe next year.
