Farewell Dick.

Today was a sad day because we said farewell to our friend Dick de Leeuw. He died last week after a tough battle with cancer which he very unfortunately lost.

A lot of people came to pay their last respects to him and to show support for his wife, Miriam. Kind words were spoken of this special person that he was.

Walking back to the car we passed Frosty the snowman. He was fighting his own battle with the weather.

In Irish tradition there was a wake to celebrate Dick's life. We drove back to Mulligans with Mic, Mickey and Nantko.

There was a very good session at the pub.

People just weren't leaving. It was a great gathering that Dick would've liked. I'm sure he was still hanging around with us and he must have enjoyed seeing us drink in his honour :-)

And then we went to Wagamama for some dinner.

The Borg Queen!

This morning, Seven met...

... the Borg queen!

In the evening Marjolein and I met up with Gerrit for dinner. The jumbotron at Rembrandtplein was OFF! Lovely :-)

Gerrit, Marjolein, Nantko and Dick in Mulligans. We attended the second night of "Le chat mort" because we liked it so much yesterday. It turned in to a very good evening.

Message from HQ

I rode my Choppermeister again today. Having a small break at the fountain.

In the afternoon I mounted my TV on the wall. It looks pretty good I think.

Then in the evening I walked to Mulligans to meet a few people.

There was a 3-piece band who were quite good and fun.

Marieke and Dick were there.

And Ruud and Mic.

I had a grrrrrrrrreat time :-)

Almost Liesje.

When I left work this morning, this electric car was re-fueling at the end of my street.

The brand is Tesla. When I came back from work it was just driving off, very, very quietly.

My colleagues Walter, Geert and Eelke were very colour-coordinated today.

I left work early to go to my appointment. I walked past Mulligans where Dick was putting in a few new windows that got knocked out last night.

The door to my appointment. Not coming back for 3 weeks.

The wok and walk cat was there today when I went to get dinner. It looks a lot like the cat I used to have:

Liesje, the first and only real pet I ever had. She was lovely.

It was horse and carriage night again.
