Squashed

I made a new selfie today. Fuck knows how I managed to squeeze out a smile. It must've been the sun coz I didn't really feel like smiling all day... I had lunch outside until it got too cold.

After work I went to play squash with my mate Paul from work. he whooped my ass even though he was tired and has a fucked up knee. He's just awesome I guess ;-)

The Lasses in Mulligans

I was back at the old office briefly and thought I'd shoot the cranes again ;-)

My new sunnies were delivered today. It's a pair of 8-bit shades!

Swan family was hangin' around the ferry.

Another delivery that arrived today is this small shifter console for my Mustang. I currently have the large console with armrest etc. but I don't like it. This one comes from a 1971 Mach 1 and is s'posed to fit. It needs thorough cleaning first though...

In the evening I walked in to town for a bite with Marjolein and then some drinks and music in Mulligans.

The lasses were playing. They are Sophie and Margot and they sing beautifully together. A while ago I told Sophie about a song that I thought would be very good for them and they actually did it tonight!

It was very cold today but the sky was clear so I took my big camera with me to take photos.

The Psycho Cowboy is still there. I'm waiting for it to just sink. There's already holes in the damn thing on the other side where it bangs against the concrete block...

Little creatures

The cranes that helped attaching a heli-pad on to one of the crane ships left again this morning. There were two of these monsters and each crane has a dedicated truck (with even more axles!) carrying the crane's weights. One of these trucks also carried a little car for the guys to drive around in.
I guess it's a bit hard driving the crane around town...

On my way home I spotted these flowers. The plants had loads of flowers and the bumble bees were lovin' it! I took some shots that worked out surprisingly well.

When I left work, all of the sudden there was this HUGE crane!

There's a tele-crane next to it with a guy in a container hanging off of it. It gives you an idea of the size.

Big.

Very big... The whole thing is a crane-platform. It positions itself in the water and then lowers the 4 legs and fixes itself on the ocean bed hence creating an artificial island to work from. Awesome structure.

My dinner was made of tomatoes, green beans, free range chicken all in an oregano sauce with a small side salad.

In the evening I quickly dropped by Nicole and Collins. Collins made this mural. I like it very much.

He showed me the secret bit behind the clock: a moon.

So far the brand new jetty is in use by the ducks who are happily crapping all over it...

Sun was hot in the tram already.

There was a new ice cream guy. I dunno what happened to the old one.

It brought out a lot of people. I hadn't been in a while so I got some too :-)

Two of these gigantic mobile cranes drove past to our neighbours. I've not seen them this huge before. They had 9 axles.

Mother duck has only lost 1 out of 7 ducklings. 3 were being lazy in the sun and 3 were in the water.

The wing-ferry speeding away in front of a small cruise ship.

There was a lot of crane action again today. The cranes in the middle are floating on the water. They are docked around a large ship and then smaller boats come along side. Quite clever.

I finally got my folders today. I am putting them in my filing cabinet now.

I made chili con carne. Dinner and two lunches.
