The haggis

Marjolein and I went to the DIY store to get shelves and other cool things :-)

Back at Marjolein's place a dove was waiting for bread and seeds.

I had to drill I don't know how many holes but in the end it was all there. It's a lot of storage room!

In the evening Marjolein cooked Haggis, the famous Scottish dish. It was quite nice once you allow yourself to look past the ingredients ;-)

Nancy's visit

I am now using 2 screens at work. It's very handy when having to compare things. I'm just not happy that my desk now gets so full...

Marjolein and I went to eat at Waga's tonight.

:-)

Later on we met a few friends in Mulligans. Special guest was Nancy, Jan's sister whom I had not seen for 9 years. It was a lot of fun to catch up and I had a great night!

I also scored a few dvd's on the cheap.

Honk, if you think the new FB sucks

If I had something to honk I'd be driving people insane with it now...

HATE the new FACEBOOK news feed

First things first. Facebook has *really* pissed off a LOT of people this time. I wonder if they'll notice all the negativity surrounding their latest changes to the news feed. People have started putting this up hoping Facebook will pay attention.

They are still working on the tram tracks on my way to work. It's taking them so incredibly long that another public transport company that has to go through this street to bring people to the station is now stopping here, as in, end-of-the-line. Which is a pain in the ass because I often took that bus if I missed my tram :-(

Progress on the old Citybox grounds.

I had dinner with Marjolein in Haarlem.

On the tram home, a girl was sitting in front of me and she had a very cute little puppy dog. This was about 20 seconds before it emptied it's stomach on the seat next to her. The smell was delicious - not.

Pancakes

The wind of recent has blown a lot of shit out of the water...

I baked a stack of pancakes. Some with bacon. Mmmmmhhhhhhh :-)

The weather police

Pardon me for laughing out loud. This is a car from the Dutch weather bureau. Who do they think they are? The weather POLICE? Think they'd like to have lights and a siren on that car? Do they drive this to a place where it rains? Oh please mister weather police inspector sir, you have to come and investigate! I hail stone fell on my drive way!
I wouldn't feel too safe driving around in that car actually, not with all the faulty forecasts they made and false weather-alarms they put out.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, was my dinner du jour. Not from a packet but I concocted it myself. It tasted delicious!

Moving Alie

Heading over to Alie's place to help her move house.

I was in the metro around the same time a year ago and I felt like taking a similar picture. I was deeply depressed a year ago for a few months. I'm still dealing with shit but I'm doing lots and lots better. It's totally unreal how certain things that happen in your life can affect you so bad.

The lady of the house, Alie, whom we were helping to move house.

There is this wall painting in her old street.

A few of the usual moving house-suspects were there. One of them is Alex.

Alie's garden. She has put her gigantic Alie-stamp on it. It's a shame she has to leave it behind.

The rest of the crew: Alie's brother Bobby, Alex, Peter and Jon.

Alie and Bobby.

The knight on the white horse. I had to remind Alie to take it with her ;-)
