We were supposed to have breakfast with a colleague of mine and his girl friend but that got postponed to tomorrow. But we still went! :-)
All the people in the background are walking to the big annual car-race of Adelaide, the Clipsal 500.
It was grey this morning. We even got rain and thunder while waking up which was nice actually. The rest of the day stayed warm with wind coming from the desert.
We sat at the mall's piggies.
This is art that I like a lot.
Rundle mall was full of buskers today but these kids were the best. The boy playing the drums must've about 12 and the girl played the guitar and she sang, she was probably around 14. But they performed really nice. And already pretty professional. Not scared for anything. Awesome. I gave them a fiver.
Walking back to the car we passed some transformers. I guess no licking the fence here...
I re-activated my World of Warcraft account again. Blizzard is happy to see my money coming in once more.
Late afternoon till early evening we went for a swim. Very refreshing but now I'm pretty tired again.

Time for a new passport
In the morning I went to the Dutch consulate to apply for passport-renewal. Before me there was a very old Dutch couple. They had been married for 50 years I heard the girl say. My new passport should arrive in 2-3 weeks.
For lunch I had a slice of pizza. Fresh out of the oven.
These are the piggies in Rundle mall.
After work we went to a Thai place that was recommended by a colleague of Nicole. It was pretty good.

The Garden of Unearthly Delights
Juice time during lunch. I like the beetroot and pineapple juice a lot. I couldn't handle another half baguette with sateh chicken. I think it danced the cha-cha-cha with me this morning and last night...
When Nicole came home from work we went to the beach. I love the beach here. It's just special.
And then we went to the Garden of Unearthly Delights in town. It's a festival that you can walk through for free but you pay for most shows. But not for all of them. It's quite cool.
One of the theatres.
Then we drove home and Nic accidentally stalled the car after which it wouldn't start anymore. We had to call the RAA, mainly because the brake was also funny. It turned out that the battery was nearly empty and the break was like that because the engine wasn't running.

Not your ordinary day

Today was OK
This is where I get my beetroot+pineapple juice. They also sell flowers and it's the biggest collection of REAL flowers that are for sale that I have ever seen in this country. It smelled nice too.
So I bought my juice and a garlic bread (little, thick and round piece) and I sat down.
I noticed there was a young guy playing the guitar and opposite him was a bum, listening.
But as it was lunch time it was very busy and making photos was difficult with all those people.
So I just took lots of photos.
It ended up being a nice collection of photos so I decided to keep almost all of them.
This was my view in front of me to the left.
And my view in front of me to the right.
To my very left...
When I finished my lunch I got up and listened a bit closer. He was pretty good. The songs reminded me of Johnny Cash and so did he. I dropped him a coin and told him I liked the songs. He thanked me and then it was back to the office for me. I'd rather stayed.
Work-wise my day was good as well. A late afternoon discovery fixed a very important issue we were having with some software. Must document that feature tomorrow!

Not sure...
Today I wanted to make and test a new reverse loop controller. I ran out of certain parts so yet another visit to Jaycar was needed.
That's the test track.
My new controller works better than the previous one but I'm not 100% convinced of it's proper functioning. Even though I made about 20 test runs with it and it didn't fail once. There was one occasion where the relay sounded a bit dodgy when it switched. I have a feeling there is still something about the circuit not completely right...
