The dust-writer ;-)

Breakfast with the paper.

It was time to fix up and clean out my little garden. It's looking a lot better now.

The little dust-writer was in my house again after a very nice dinner out in town. Had a lovely evening with her.

Gardening

I had some old bread and thought the birds would like some. Oh they did! There were hundreds!

I finally did up my garden a bit. This is before...

... and this is after. Can you see the difference?

I helped nicole with a couple of things in the shop and witnessed the first cake being made!

Early evening my sunshine needed me so I jumped on a train to Haarlem.

That's where I was goin'.

Grass is fixed.

I watched a very funny Star Trek episode.

Mason is with us today and the weekend.

It's very hard posing for the camera.

I seem to have forgotten a certain grass straw yesterday.

It's all good now.

Ready to rock and roll in one of Adelaide's fancier restaurants.

We went to the Red Ochre Restaurant. It was fantastic. There was beetroot carpaccio, kangaroo, salad, grilled barramundi, freshly baked bread and also a chocolate fondant. It was all sensational.

Mason was happy to see us again...

If we were Mason's ball...

We had a breakfast appointment in town today. So we arrived at the Rundle market at 9:15. If you click this photo to see the bigger version, you can see how the city of Adelaide looks very much like a wild-west town. It just needs a dirt road, really.

This is my favorite shop. A lady who sells bags that she made her self. I hate bags but I have great admiration for someone undertaking this and being successful. Her stall shits on the others that sell chemical candy or Amsterdam raggy clothes.

We met Stephen for breakfast. It was very nice to see him again and we were honored that he managed to free up time from his overly bust study-schedule :-)

When we came home, the pigeons were sunbathing on our lawn.

This is what you would see if you were Mason's ball. Quite the view don't you think?

I mowed the front lawn today. I think our lawn mower is giving up. I wanted to look what was wrong but it's put together in such a way that you cannot open it up. That pisses me off these days...

I sat down in our garden with mason to clean my bowls. They are coming to The Netherlands with me and I'm planning to bring Night Owls bowls back with me as well!

Mowing the lawn

I had a day off today so I watched a lot of Star Trek episodes.

I mowed the lawn today. I like to do this by hand. It gives me a 'feel' for the 'material' I work with. And on top of that it's also a bit of a work out :-)

I had to stop a few times due to rain...

The beautiful day

Today we went out for breakfast! Going out for dinner is so passé these days. Breakfast is all the new rage ;-P

After breakfast we went to the central market.

This is NOT the company I work for.

There were mushrooms.

And oranges.

And stinky cheeses.

Afterwards we dropped by Jaycar for our weekend project needs and also by Woolworths for our weekly food and toilet paper needs.

In the afternoon we pruned the apricot tree, mowed the lawn, did the dishes and had Karin and Gavin drop by. Gav was very kind to try and get the chain saw to work for me. I will hopefully use it to take down a bad tree in the back of our garden next weekend.

And then I did the laundry and I had a shower. And then I dressed warm and lay down on the bed and read a few more pages of my Ludlum book ("Lazarus vendetta").

It was a very good day and tomorrow is going to be fun too :-)

The magic mushrooms

Sunday is garden action day! Nicole mowed the back and I did the front. It's quite nice with our little hand mower.

I found 2 little mushrooms in the front garden, hiding in the grass. This one is tiny but for some reason it makes me think it's poisonous. The photo doesn't show well but it was bright yellow and shiny. That's begging to be licked.

And there was also this mushroom that I unfortunately drove over before I saw it (yeah, I felt it bump up the mower ;-P ). It looks more eatable than the other one.

In the afternoon Stephen and I crossed our tennis rackets again. Contrary to last Sunday, today victory was mine! We left it at 2 sets in my favor: 7-5 (come back from 0-3) and 6-2. It was THE best match I have ever played. Steve, it's OK if you want to blame it on the mandarin ;-P Thanks for a great match, it was most enjoyable!

In the evening we drove to Henley and Vili's. That way I got in some good night-driving time. If any of you readers ever come to visit us, we'll definitely take you to this magical place of food stuffs :-)

When we came home I Skyped with my mom.

I bought her flowers which my dad got for me, thanks dad :-)
