The pier of Velsen

When Simone was done working she picked me up and we first went to a birthday party of a friend's kid. Then we had dinner with her mom and then we went to Velsen for a walk along the pier. Big ships were coming and going.

There was a nice sunset.

Lovely.

It made for some pretty pictures.

Another big ship coming out.

Tata Steel.

R.I.P. Blues Boy King.

B.B. King died today. He was a legend. I played some B.B. King at work.

Simone and I went for a walk again this evening. I liked this power ehm.... box.

The letter

It's a bank holiday today and I cleaned around the house a bit. I collected clothes that are now way too big for me and brought them to a clothes-point where they'll be picked up and distributed amongst those less fortunate in life.

On my way back I walked past a spot where a shooting occured a couple of days ago. There were flowers on the ground where the guy got shot and the cafe where it started was sealed off with wood and a letter from the mayor.

The guy who got shot is "known with the police" and the cafe has caused trouble in the neighbourhood before...

The ride home

I took photos all along the way home from the tram. So you can drive home with me ;-)

Enjoy.

Picking up my car

So today I went to pick up my car from the garage (Pro Street in Heemskerk). The weather was excellent (meaning: not a drop of rain!). The car fired up beautifully and ran smoother than ever. I think it's picked up a little bit of power too, all due to the improved ignition timing I think.

The only crap that happened was this bloody #$%@! that got in front of me and drove not faster than 15 mph...

However, soon enough I arrived in Halfweg where I wanted to do a little photoshoot. Unfortunately the exact spot where I wanted to park was occupied by work-men so I had to park somewhere else.

One of the bigger things they did for me was swapping the Holley carb for a new (refurbished) Edelbrock.

They also added a fuel filter. I never had one apparently...

Nice.

Hooking up the throttle cable and the kickdown-rod wasn't too easy because the Edelbrock carb is a lot wider then the Holley. But they managed to figure something out and it worked great!
