The roof rack

We drove to Almere to buy a second hand roof rack.

It sits on the car a bit high. I think we're missing a rubber edge...

The move

My colleagues and I moved our stuff today.

We did well and everything was at the new place before noon.

Bye bye old office!

Hello new office! Lennart and Hans put together most of our desks.  I stayed at the old office a bit longer te help fill up the second load.

Meanwhile, enjoying the new work-view ;-)

Stuff is coming together and it's not even lunch time yet!

My desk. I have a lovely window-spot.

With time to spare I put up the Christmas tree.

Our new head quarters.

In the evening we drove to Den Bosch where Larissa and Milan were going to a concert kinda thing. There was a coca cola truck.

After dropping the kids off Simone and I hit town and went out for dinner at a place called Van Puffelen. Very nice place.

In Den Bosch a lot of folks hang out in the streets at night, drinking with friends.

After dinner we walked around a bit and ended up on a terrace somewhere. We got home around 1:30. This has been a long, loooong day.

Last day at the old office.

Tomorrow we move in the new office. This means I only have to take the ferry one more last time to work tomorrow and that's it. No more ferry. At least not to get to work...  So today I'm making a few pics of my journey to and from work one more time.

Leaving Amsterdam Central Station.

Passing the EYE and ADAM.

There are usually lots of seaguls flying behind the ferry. I never see one actually cathing a fish...

This is my current work location. The building is nearly empty apart from half of the ground floor.

At the end of the day I took my desk apart and put my stuff in 3 boxes. Tomorrow is D-day for us.

Walking back to the ferry I took some more photos.

My colleague Ernst cycled past but he's always in some other dimension it seems ;-)

The colourful student-housing.

Mess.

For some reason the busiest connection at the busiest time gets the smallest ferry. Seriously... This one does have 1 row of seats all the way at the back though and I love sitting in the corner. It gives me the feeling I'm doing a mini cruise for 10 minutes. I sat there one last time to enjoy the views.

IJ-kantine.

The Veronica ship.

View.

Ferry-folk.

The NSDM in Amsterdam North, a place beyond belief.

The cracks

My house is sick. The walls are cracking...

Because the floor is sinking. Tomorrow night I'm hosting a meeting for all the owners to discuss fixing the house. It's gonna cost over a hundred grand so you can imagine things are not taken lightly.

Good luck to me, yay! :-/

I received my first two postcards. Suddenly I'm reminded it's almost Christmas...

The curry

Close to the busstation I go to on my way to work, there are these three house that write words of encouragement in light. This one reads "Well done".

"Happiness"

"Love (someone)"

I had this Thai curry paste at home that I've been wanting to try for a while now. Tonight's the night!
First up: chicken.

When the chicken is done, add veg. Cook for a couple minutes.

Add coconut milk and the paste.

Let it simmer for a bit, softening the veggies.

Serve with some rice. It tasted fantastic and it was so spicy I had sweat on top of my head! ;-)

Christmas decorations

We ran the folders this evening. Some of the flat buildings put Christmas decorations up which makes it all a bit nicer :-)

Meet Muppet

On one of the Mustangs forums somebody put up a link to a Mustang that was for sale, and it looks very, very much like what mine originally looked like.

Colour is the same, but mine has a black top and most the chrome trim is not there anymore. It came with white wall tyres though, like this one.

Same engine and engine configuration as mine; 351C 2V with a/c and powersteering cooler.

My interior is all black. I do like these lighter interiors better though I think...

At Simone's we have a little guest: Her sister's bunny "Muppet".
