The urban micro garden

Today was Urban Micro Garden-day! First there was nothing...

... then there was a little garden! Well, it didn't quite happen like that. It actually was a fair bit of work.

Work that deserved a pint!

... in the company of Marjolein (who also helped me a bit) and Gerrit (not in this picture).

It had pissed down all week but they still put the sprayers on at Rembrandtplein. Bit funny. Very nice new grass though!

Gerrit and Marjolein in front of Mulligans.

When we walked home we spotted this leather toy rhino. There were also a few smaller toys but they looked beautiful.

My orchid

The new steps are coming along. They made the bottom step too short though and had to add concrete...

The Swan family was present. Four babies still around. Didn't see the geese today.

Pigeon feasting on a dropped sandwich. It was a bit of a bastard though coz he wouldn't share it with any other pigeons and chased them away. I hope it gets stomach cramps from over-eating ;-P

This girl drove alongside with the tram at some point.

My orchid is growing new stuff. There is another growth near the bottom.

The desk delivery

Waitin' for the ferry while having breakfast. I left the house in a sleepy daze without eating so for the first time weeks I bought breakfast at the station. Yes. I did buy the apple turnover. But without cream! :-P

Harbour view.

People were working on the steps again.

Desks! desks! The new desks have arrived! I was all happy thinking we'd be moving soon. Well, forget about that because now they want to first replace some broken windows and get blinds in. Gonna take fecking weeks I reckon...

I made pancakes for dinner.

The delivery

Tuincentrum Osdorp delivered my garden stuff today. Easy drop-off right in front of my window.

Easy indeed because all I had to to was pull it in through the window :-)

Vollari

One of my colleagues would rather drive a Ferrari I think ;-)

I went to our office in Drachten today for a meeting. Colleagues there like plants better than in Amsterdam. I like.

The Drachten office.

Back at the work-ranch a new doorstep is being made.

When I came home I watched an episode of Bottom.

Later I went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned. It wasn't bad but still more painful then having cavities drilled away!

I was early so I sat by the fountain for a few minutes.

The cheerleaders

Construction on my way to work. I like the cranes.

I love these houses. The city of Amsterdam is developing the water side areas very well I think. New architecture looks very nice overall these days I think. They have started to use more colours.

Did I mention colours? ;-)

One of the offices had cheerleaders welcome their employees. I think I'll bring this up when I have my appraisal this year...

We're getting a new entrance and now we have to walk aaaaaaaaaaall the way around the back to get in...

This is another family of Nile geese. They have 5 little ones left.
