The shoot

I took my camera out for a spin today. Just to play with it a little bit.

The Jacob van Lennep painting that disturbs the disturbed. It's around the corner from my house. I like it.

Late afternoon I went to the pub to meet Gerrit for a few pints and some dinner. In the pub we discovered a book covering the 100 best bars in town. Mulligans is in it with a photo. And guess who's in the photo? Marjolein is! :-)

Pancakes with Eva

This is my new camera, the Sony Nex-C3. It's very small and very big at the same time :-)

This is my friend Eva where I had dinner tonight. We made pancakes. Some with bacon and some with cheese and some with salami and cheese. The latter ones were surprisingly nice!

The NEX-C3

Our neighbours across the street been playing with little pieces of metal again. Dunno what part of what this is...

I went out tonight and bought a new camera. The old Nikon Coolpix 8800 kind of did not really survive a free fall of 2 metres last holiday in France. Well, it lasted a good 8 years I reckon and longer if I would not have dropped it :-/ So now I'll see how it goes with this brand new Sony NEX-C3...

Jane Eyre

For the first time this autumn/winter there was ice on the ground.

And ice on bridge railings...

And ice on little plants...

In the evening I went to the oldest cinema of The Netherlands: "De uitkijk". Lovely little place run by students nowadays playing art house movies.

We saw Jane Eyre. I kept an open mind and was rewarded. Great movie of a very old story. I'm no sucker for drama but this was catchy!

Caught up

Not many pictures today. I'm a bit caught up with work these days eager to make something very nice out of... well, something not very nice ;-) At least it's going very well!

The fog

View across the canal from my house this morning. Cold and dark and crispy. It's turned really cold now...

The water is still warm which created a very thick fog every morning.

It makes for nice views I think.

The kid

A bunch of kids walked past late arvo. One of them stopped and literally started staring inside for half a minute so I waved and the kid just stood there like he had never seen anything like a house with a (semi normal ;-) person in it before. The kid actually called his friends to have a look as well but only his dad came and had to pull him away and I heard him say "come on now, it's not a fucking TV!" A few minutes later the kid came back just long enough for me to take a picture and then he waved :-)
