Preparing for rust removal

I needed to look at a few things from my car to ask questions about before I start working on them. These bolts for example. I need to remove 1 door hinge but I don't know what these bolts dig in to. If I remove them, will a nut drop behind it? Will I ever be able to reach?

Apparently they are bolted into the frame, so no nuts, great!

I also did a little rust inventory. After I remove the rust under one of the hinges I'll do the rust around my rear lights.

And other little things like this...

The shitty job

I ordered Ikea stuff today. Now I can't wait for it to arrive on Oct. 15th...

I also fixed the sealing in the corner of my shower. Bitch of a job that was...

The meeting

Another glorious sunrise.

I had a meeting with colleagues and customers this morning. We showed the software I had been working on the past few weeks. They were pretty pleased they said and it showed during the meeting as well. It's nice to meet the people who will use your work :-)

When I returned these delicacies had magically showed up. Well, not really magically, my colleague Hans brought them. I told him to never EVER do so again, because I cannot stop eating them ;-)

The pasta.

I made pasta for dinner. From a jar. I added peas and cheese and pine nuts. it was yummy!

The fucking construction never stops...

Shit was being hoisted out of my neighbours backyard.

The crane. Can't wait for this construction bullshit to be over... It's pretty fucked up that the owner of those 3 houses is going to make a lot of money and the neighbours have been living in a fucking construction-site for over a year having to deal with dirt, noise, containers and sleep deprivation...

It's a fucked up world.

But then there is always the beautiful sun rising over the IJ behind Central Station. Glorious.

Fixing my doors

Didn't do much today and felt a bit lazy and also tired so I decided to fix my two doors that don't close anymore. I did the bathroom door first. People haven't had full privacy for a looooong time here!

My living room door towards the hall way closes again. Nice!

Both doors can close again. You see, that area in the middle is caving in and I don't know why. All I did was hang the doors 1 (toilet) and 2 (living room) cm's lower. Easy peasy.
