Mason and I visited the boab tree.

On this path you have to jump over the bicycle.

We had breakfast in town (yes, again!) and I ordered very little to keep room for FAMOUS ADELAIDE POFFERTJES!

When we walked back to the car, we saw these guys sitting in a tree. They talked a lot. (click to enlarge)

Beautiful little bird.

They had a nest inside the hollow end of a branch.

The view in to the park.

When we came home I took mason for a walk. There are lots of flowers that are in bloom right now.

Mason pretending to be a cow. He was a very good boy but he still loves to pull. I don't think that will ever change, and that's OK. He listens well to stop and sit commands. It was lovely to walk with him again. (click to enlarge)

We walked all the way down to the boab tree. It's a beautiful tree that soaks up tons of water. It's a very rare tree I believe.

On the way home we saw Caesar. He was a good boy too :-)

You talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?

I took Mason out for a spin around the block this afternoon. Well, a few blocks actually.

I get very scared when Mason takes this pose. In this case my fear was for good reason.

Caesar was barking a bit much today, clearly showing Mason not to play any tricks on him.

When I came home I was bitten by a bloody mosquito. They give my very big lumps...

The scorch

This is the weather forecast for the coming week. There are THREE consecutive days of 41C!! It's gonna be a long, hot week. Luckily we only have to work four days because tomorrow is a bank holiday here (Australia day).

Early morning we went to Rundle Street to have breakfast at Scoozi's.

On the way home we passed parts of the Tour Down Under.

Mid afternoon I walked Mason for half an hour.

He was happy sniffing the trees again.

Looking everywhere.

Understanding how to walk around a pole is still a bit hard sometimes.

We saw Caesar.

I watch a fair bit of the tennis here these days.

Jelena Dokic is one of my favourites on the women's side.

She's making a bit of a come back.

I found this funny picture earlier this week but forgot to post it. It's the funniest cat picture I have ever seen, seriously. I love it.

Lachlan's second birthday

We were invited to Lachlan's second birthday today. Not that he actually knows what that is but that's alright ;-) We bought him a nice book with named pictures in different shapes that you can remove and put back. In the picture are Stephen, Lachlan and Caroline.

It must've been a kids paradise. Lachlan surely had a great time climbing on all the equipment. I think he'll sleep very nice tonight.

We sat at a long table outside. There was another table inside.

Lachlan today learned how to blow out candles, which was funny.

Afterwards, on the way home we drove past the Volkswagen dealer. I wanted to see if they had any red cars on display. This is the black model that will take 3 to 5 months if we order it. They only had a red VW Golf and the red was OK. If they have a red Beetle with beige interior in the country then we may go for that. We'll see. First they have to accept our latest offer.

When we came home Mason took me for a walk.

We saw Caesar again who was told to stay away from the fence by his owner because the fence was being painted.

The big garden

In the morning we went to the VW dealer again for a more detailed chat about accessories and prices etc. We'll get back to him about a price and possible order on Monday.
Then we went to Tea tree plaza shopping centre. While Nicole was looking for clothes, I studied the carpet.

There was Santa stuff everywhere. And also jugglers and unicycle riders.

On the way back home we went to the supermarket. Which reminds me, I have to order Dutch pindakaas online.

The afternoon was very lazy. I went to walk Mason early evening.

These people created a gigantic garden. It looked nice though.

Caesar was outside again too. He was very quiet though.

Like when we arrived last year, certain streets have been coloured purple by the Jackaranda trees.

They make a LOT of purple flowers. Quite stunning except when you see it on these photo's... :-/

Mason Dalí / Scab : Off

SCAB TIME, ENJOY! This was right before it came off today, more than a week after the fatal slip while walking Mason... Scab free at last!

Today was a public holiday (Anzac day) here. Yes, ex-colleagues who are reading this, Australia has about twice as many pub. hols than The NL! ;-) (And if one of em is on a weekend, it moves to the first monday after!) Anyway, because of this I could walk Mason again. Here we are getting ready.

Mason finally sniffing trees again.

I made this picture whilst walking. It looks like Dalí shot it...

It was very cloudy today. Aparently it's like this every Anzac day.

Somewhere funny things were growing in the grass.

Mason waited at every curb.

We walked past Caesar again and said hello.

Somewhere along the way a cat started following us. He thought Mason was very interesting, or maybe it was looking to pick a fight or something.

At the end of the afternoon Mason had to go home so it was back into the boot of the car for him.

Back at the ranch I fiddled around with my to-build power supply.

I did a lot of driving today. When driving to Semaphore we saw this train. Absolutely fascinating of course.
