Poor little Silver

And yes, it had snowed a bit over night. And my car was turned into a block of ice. And some kids had been playing with the snow on my car.

Silver is very quiet with his thing on.

All he wants is to lay down with us and sleep. Except when he gets fed, then he is still VERY quick ;-)

The (almost) snow

It was really freezing cold last night. For a change I took the bus to work today. Because I didn't feel like de-icing my car but also to enjoy the last day of the Christmas holiday when there are no kids in the bus ;-)

It had been a clear and freezing day. Early evening clouds rolled in that were supposed to bring us snow.

Simone took Silver to the vet again. He still has spots on his paws where he bites too much and the spots loose hair. Not good. So now he has to keep this thing on 24/7 basically, poor little thing. We all feel so sorry for him...

Sulphur, not Silver

At work there were lots of sirens outside at some point. Apparently a truck filled with sulpur trioxide sprung a leak. In the air, it forms sulphuric acid which is kinda very poisonous. So the whole area around it was being cleared and nobody was allowed in. Also a pice of the highway was closed off which made it a lot quieter outside! I'm gled the wind wasn't blowing my way though.

PS: No injuries have been reported.

The "again"

Not much going on today. Work and that's it. So here's a photo of little Silver, again.

Happy birthday!

Today is Simone's birthday and I bought her a big bouquet of roses and some other pressies. But the only thing I made a photo of today is this packet of juice, for which I went shopping.

The light sculptures

Back to work again. I was greated by 2 emails, each reporting 1 problem which sounded like it needed immediate fixing. I was not thrilled.

After a day that should've been easy but ended up being crap I went home where little Silver came to sit with me. It makes everything good again. He's a bundle of joy and he loves to dish out. Every single day he comes to show his affection in several ways. I think he's quite happy with us :-)

In the evening the four of us went into town to walk the "illumination route" of the Amsterdam lights festival. It's a walking trail that takes you past all kinds of light sculptures. Most of them fail to impress me, like this one.

This spider on the other hand is awesome I think!

In a park they had set up some screens that showed you through an infrared camera. Pretty cool.

It's only because I love colourful object that I like this but otherwise...

And so 2017 started. In the cold night, with lots of fireworks everywhere. At the end of our street they got quite busy with it again.


There was a lot of big fireworks. We had bought a few little things for Milan as well (not pictured) so he could have a bit of fun. We went to bed around 2:30. Simone had to wake up to go to work at 7. I slept till about 8.
