SUN!

SUN! There was SUN! I wore my shades for the first time since my trip to Scotland in October 2009.

I went shopping and when I came back there was a fake fire in my hood.

I went shopping today but I forgot green beans... Some of these ingredients will be used in Indonesion Gado Gado.

But tonight I had pizza!

The heron

My little bonsai dropped a lot of leaves which got me quite worried at first. However, it has started producing a lot of new leaves!

This grey heron was in the middle of the sidewalk. When I came close it flew on top of a car. It wasn't too bothered by me.Stunning sight.

The cleaners continue to strike...

The cleaning operation of the burned out building continues as well. It's actually going pretty fast.

An Adelaidian scene: Fire trucks without fire opposite my work.

30 minutes before lunch, 5 colleagues put out a combined birthday treat. Different pastry things, very tasty.

We were happy people.

Out neighbours working on their next project.

In this photo we see my colleague Geert screwing around with my colleague Walter's chair. We are hoping that Walter will not read this blog before Monday morning so that we can all enjoy the moment he's going to sit down in his chair then. I must not be late Monday ;-)

My colleague Sylvester checking out my blog. People like peeking in to other people's life. I'm sure they just want to fin that one picture which will embarrass me. Well guys, stiff shit. Such a thing does not exist :-)

My ferry on the way home. I went out for dinner and then had a few pints at the pub.

On my way home I saw this screen showing pictures from Amsterdam, a while ago.

The inuit.

The train station-cleaners have been on strike this week. You couldn't tell, can you?

It was sunny and bright but also very cold!

Cleaning up the burned down buildings close to my work is finally coming along. I can't wait for it to be gone. I hate the sight of burned out building. They fascinate me as well but I don't like them.

The voting.

Today the people of The Netherlands got to vote for new city councils. So when I came home from work and collected my voting cards and my passport I went to vote!

In Amsterdan you vote twice. Once for the local council (part of town) and once for the city comittee..

The Collins show.

It was nice and bright and sunny when I walked to work. Not Australia-bright but Dutch-bright.

And then I went home again on the ferry.

I met Nic in town as she came back from Germany and we had dinner at St. James gate. I had the cottage pie which was really nice. It was actually the first time sitting outside after my double winter!!!

Rembrandtplein.

And I saw Stephen Collins' place finally! I asked him to smile for a piccie.

Due to the smile he injured his lip...

And then he went back to his standard amazed expression.

I did some wow in the evening. here I am flying through Azeroth...

The killer line-up

Waiting for my ferry in the morning. It was nice and sunny!

Leaving work. Hailstones were coming down (white stripes in my photo).

After work I went to the GVB office to get my public transport card upgraded. Their website of course didn't work. When I came in they were just serving no. 304. I pulled out no. 353...

ToC 25.

My breakfast. Rather nice.

I cooked lunches for two days. They will be my main meals.

I went on my first 25-man raid in three years today. It was fun!
