The Borg Queen!

This morning, Seven met...

... the Borg queen!

In the evening Marjolein and I met up with Gerrit for dinner. The jumbotron at Rembrandtplein was OFF! Lovely :-)

Gerrit, Marjolein, Nantko and Dick in Mulligans. We attended the second night of "Le chat mort" because we liked it so much yesterday. It turned in to a very good evening.

Le chat mort

My orchid was sick and it was being destroyed by little animals. I had to cut a leaf and I cleaned it with soap. Now it is making flowers! It loves me! :-)

There was a big fat barge parked near my work. I sneaked behind the fence and made a photo. Those chains are huge. One chain is about half a metre!

At work a bunch of colleagues were having or about to have their birthdays and they brought cake for eeeeeveryone :-) The apple pie on the left was my favourite, The chocolate cake was also quite nice!

A big-ass cruise ship sailed past. Images I soon won't be getting no more because I'm about to move office. Downstairs on the street-side...

In the evening I saw a great little band called "Le chat mort" from Scandinavia. They're on their way to a bluegrass festival in France and are playing 2 nights in Mulligans.

Bumper? Anyone?

My reflection on the ferry.

Need a car bumper? Or a desk top? It's all here!

I checked on the new patch numbers for my new desk. I tried the chair today, very nice!

The swan family is still complete!

There was a lot of traffic on the water on the way home slowing down the ferry...

The birds

I went to Marjolein early evening. She cooked a very, very, very nice dish!

And then I got us dessert.

There were lots of birds.

They like to sit on top of the church. Pity you can't see it very well in the picture. They're lined up all over the roof.

The veg injection

My colleagues need more work I think. They appear to have time to build cardboard Stirling engines at work ;-) (It was probably built after hours - just for the record)

This engine basically runs on the temperature difference provided by a cup of hot water. Pretty neat. In uni I made one that was heated by a petroleum flame.

This will hopefully be my new desk soon. It will be far away from toys that make so much noise that they distract a room of 12 people...

UPDATE: The higher gods have finally gotten their shit together about where they want to go sit. Could've done that a bit quicker. And it is of course right here. I'll have to think about another place now...

I needed a veg injection after my vacation. In France they don't eat a lot of vegetables, at least not in restaurants...
