Halloween 2013

I quickly shot this photo while walking to the tram stop. I like it.

In the evening Marjolein came over for dinner and then we went to Mulligans for halloween. She wasn't the only devil, Paddy was one too!

Miriam.

Barry.

Yours truly.

Kees.

Petra.

Jos and Danny.

Martijn and Patricia.

All of us.

And Alex was there as well.

The WdW dinner

This bad boy was being fed on my way to work. A woman was feeding him bradwurst. One moment he had it in his beak, I look away for 2 seconds, look back and it's gone!

The place where Citybox used to be has now been fenced off completely again. I used it as a shortcut but those times may be over. I hope they'll take the remaining buildings down soon.

This Beamer's been left here and got broken into. The car looks dodgy, broken and discoloured.

I met Marjolein after work and we went to Jon's for dinner cooked by Nicole.

Turning clockwise we see Marjolein, Nicole, George,  Eamonn, Anna, Jon, Petra, Cindy, new guy and Paddy. We had a wonderful Mexican dinner made by Nicole.

Afterwards Marjolein and I went to Schiller for a drink. We saw mice. Above you can see one racing over the floor.

Past the gas station on my way home. Looks like a few people will be waiting for a while ;-)

The animal festival (kinda...)

I played gin rummy in the morning. Starting with an arse-kicking 80 point game! Only 20 more to victory!

But no... I ended up getting my arse kicked afterall... How shall I put it? I was not amused...

Early afternoon I drove my bicycle to the East side of town to attend the 2nd edition of Animal festival. A small festival organised by some folks I know.

I crossed the Amstel river.

The invite said it would start at noon. I arrived just before 1PM and things were still being put up. I was the 2nd person to arrive actually...

It started to look nice though. And a 3rd guest showed up, surely more people would follow soon?

Kees waiting for the storm...

Djox, one of the organisers.

Flevopark looked nice today.

The festival terrain.

They organised things very well except that around 2AM there was still hardly anybody there.

So Kees and I went for coffee.

Kees.

Later on, bracelet-woman and Eamonn joined us ;-)

Petra looking good in the sun.

Around 16:30 people finally started dropping in. The first gig was supposed to start at 17:00 I believe. I doubt there would've been more than 15 people at that time. Anyway, Petra, Eamonn, Kees and I left. We got bored and tired of waiting. I have to say I was a bit disappointed. But, at least I got to lie down in the sun with nice music and have a chat with at least a couple of friends. Kees tried to tame the beast ;-)

In the evening I went to Mulligans coz there was a nice band playing. Due to circumstances I can't go out that late right now as I'm really watching my sleep.

So I left before midnight.

Working far away.

I left the house at 6:30 to go visit colleagues for a meeting but their office is up shit creek... The train ride was lovely and quiet though. I saw deer and bunnies :-)

After traveling for 130 minutes I got at my destination station: Hoogeveen.

It was nice to see one of our other offices though. This was my view. It was very quiet there.

During lunch I went for a walk with two colleagues. It was warm and I got very sweaty :-/

They keyboard I was using was dirty.

The office looked shabby. It needs paint badly.

My work place.

Every room has airconditioners but none of them work and they're not gonna work either. That's just a crock of shit you know. They should work, it gets hot there!

On my way back I noticed how train information has been modernized a fair bit while i was out of the country. Very good.

I went to Nic's (= Jon's) place straight after work to join them for the Wednesday night dinner. It was a lovely out and the Mexican food she made tasted great. From left to right: Jon, George, Stephen, Daniel, Petra, Paddy, Nicole and Anna.

After glugging down a bottle of rose I went upstairs for a coffee and more chatting.

The funny cafe.

Very nice looking building on my way to Jon.

Jon...

The sink in the cafe where we had lunch.

The cafe. It was... weird.

Petra's cat.

I went to see Petra for a few cups of super-coffee. She appears to be a bit of a coffee connaisseur.

At home I played some wow. I killed things with my bear hands.
