The square-about

I did some banking. Very modern office. Still took about an hour to get done what I needed.

Some dude in my hood owns a E100,000.00 Tesla electric car. It got vandalised last night... I hope the vandals house burns down.

Later I cycled through town. The Choppermeister was free again.

I tracked down Nic and SW. We had ice cream at the IJskuipje.

I then went to Mulligans and drank too much too fast with too little food in my stomach. I'm not sure if this was really a square-about or if it was my eyes so I took a picture. Looks square to me... I guess once my head is clear I'll know ;-)

Pan-nen-koe-ken

I'm not sure about that third dash in the title of this post... maybe it should've been one letter further. Yes, my day was very exciting thank you. Yours?

The Desperado

My iPhod played "Desperado" by Johnny Cash. I thought I looked the part ;-)

The mail man delivered my dvd's at work. Now I can watch the cliffhanger!

In the evening I met Marjolein in a rain forest to dry some kitchen trays.

OK, not really to dry kitchen trays. She bought new slats for her bed to improve her sleeping. Consider it phase one coz it also needs a new mattress.

Jolanda very kindly sent me a 2 cent coin from Luxembourg. My collection is now complete. Well, except for the non-included new euro-countries...

The geek gathering

Another ship was quickly fixed next door. I've seen bigger ones by now.

A colleague bought a NAS system. The geek community quickly assembled in awe.

Later this morning the ship from picture 1 was dragged to open sea again.

Last night's squash tournament made our internal news today.

The squash tournament

Tonight I organised a squash tournament for 21 colleagues and myself. It was real nice and everything ran smoothly. Eh?

My first game was the only one I won. I could blame it on the cold that I had on the weekend but others were often a lot better than me. Which is fine coz it gives me a challenge.

Action shot of my colleague Paul going deep to get the ball.

There were always a few people resting.

My colleague Tanja kept track of the scores. She did a fantastic job for which I am very grateful because I could not have done it myself.

The final was nuts. People were so tired after playing for nearly 3 hours (inc. breaks) that they were almost dropping dead. The people that made it in to the top 4 are very, very fit.

The Peter-Paul plant

This is my plant that is like a pet to me. I have it for over 10 years now. It was given to me by a colleague called Peter Paul. I hope he's reading this ;-) _o/

When I got the plant it was 3 cm tall. Over the years it grew and grew and just before I went to Australia it was massive and very healthy. Lots of thick, green leaves. Then when I left it was given to somebody to look after it because I couldn't take it with me. Soon after my return it was given back to me. It looked out of control, 80% of the leaves had turned RED and it didn't look happy. Rather awful actually.

A few weeks ago I pruned it quite drastically creating lots of open spaces for it to grow new branches. It is now doing exactly that. It's looking healthy again and all over the place new bits are growing. It's turning GREEN again and it looks happy.

My plant likes me :-)

I started organizing my coin collection. It's still messed up because the Australian movers SUCKED DOGS BALLS!

My mom and dad came over. We had lunch together and talked a lot about lots of things.

Early evening I renewed my public transport card. On my way home I encountered a lot of riot police. They went to (try to) kick out squatters somewhere...
