The pies!

Around noon Nicole picked me up to go get pies at this new place that Kees told us about: "Wild Moa Pies".

I had a mince pie and we shared a spinach/feta pie. Both were very nice!

At Frederiksplein there's new art. It's a bronze fallen tree.

A building on Amstelveld. I can never remember what it is...

In the kerkstraat some old buildings were once replaced with horrific new shit. It's appalling.

There are also very nice cakes in the Kerkstraat. Unfortunately the service is shit.

I took this one for Nic. These boots were awful! Can't see it really well though :-/

The weather was nice so lots of people were out and about in town.

The great day

This is my colleague Sylvester who sits next to me at work. He has an AZ hat so we are good friends! ;-)

My colleagues Sam, Geert and Norbert. Geert is waving to a helicopter. He did that before but I asked him to do it again so I could take a picture. Had I told him it was for a picture he'd have prolly not waved again hehe.

In the evening I had a few friends over for a few games of Risk. It turned out to be very nice evening in very good spirits. Lots of laughs and chatter.

Eva, Danny and Gerrit were there...

... and Daan and Mic.

Sometimes we were very focussed too...

I did actually have Australia at some point but I was unable to win any of the three games we played. We finished at 2:30 and people were getting a bit tired.

Repairing a light in Holland.

How many Dutch guys does it take to repair a light? 4! 2 up and 2 on the ground. I dunno what the guys on the ground were doing apart from warming their hands in their pockets... Typical for this country unfortunately.

These codes are on some bottles we get at work. You type them in on a website and see if you won a lottery ticket. 1 colleague already has 5, 1 has 4, 1 has 3, 1 has 2 and 1 has 1. I have ZERO even though I tried about 12 times. All my life I have not had much luck in these kinds of things. I must say though that I have been very lucky in other ways which mean a hell of a lot more to me.

Carolien is still there. Been more than half a year now I reckon.

Two mobile cranes were lifting up a beam from a crane of one of the ships being overhauled next door.

Mic and Noortje.

When I left the house to go to work I was greeted by the sounds of Geese flying over.

A new boat in the neighbour's harbour.

The Christmas balls I bought to decorate my tree at work with. I'll use maybe half, or less.

De nieuwe de la mar theater has opened. I must say it looks fantastic. They have done up the whole street and it's looking great!

While waiting for the tram to Mic's two girls asked me to take a photo of them in front of this C&A poster. One of the apparently was the girl on the poster...

Mic and Noortje. We ate pizza.

Waiting for the tram home. Squash was very nice again but I am so incredibly tired now. I better go sleep now.

The views.

The view across the water as I waited for my ferry.

The view from my office.

Working from home.

I worked from home today because I am not feeling incredibly over the top fantastic. It was a productive day nevertheless.

The view from my little back window tonight. I like the shape of the windows for some reason.

The security strip.

My little plant farm is doing well. The tall ones I will try to turn in to bonsai.

I have finally (after 5.5 months) mounted the security strips on my door. I did a pretty good job if I may say so. For the full report, click here.

I'm not feeling incredibly well today. My throat is swollen, bit snotty and there's pressure building in my head. I might work from home tomorrow...
