Bye bye 2010.

I had an early ferry. It was still very dark.

At the last working day of the year there is a poker tournament at my work hosted by Rolf Slotboom, the guy standing. He's one of Holland's more well known professional poker players.

Quite a few people showed up.

Very unexpected even a few girls came to play! The pretty blonde was the dealer at my table. She's a rising star in Dutch poker apparently. Nice girl with 2 particularly nice (slightly distracting) features ;-)

My colleagues Norbert, Wim, Eelke and Yener. Norbert and Yener kicked me out of the tournament way too early unfortunately. Lucky bastards...

Dealer Rolf Slotboom on the let, top middle Sylvester and Geert wearing the hat.

My boss Hans in the red shirt, dealing AND playing. It was a fun tournament and I did well eventhough I left way too early...

Walking home an underground bin was on fire. Somebody probably threw fireworks in there.

In the evening I visited Nicole and Stephen. Jon came up a little later. Stephen was still working when I got there.

Nicole bought me an awesome LEGO minifigure keyring-light! I love it :-)

Around 22:30 Jon and I walked in to town to celebrate new years eve in Mulligans.

I went up to Kate's rooftop apartment with a few more friends to watch the fireworks at midnight. It was very cool!

The shelf

I had the day off. I want more days off now. It's good for me, I can rest and I feel that I'm getting things done.

I put up this shelf for example that my micro-cinema kit can sit on.

It needs power so I also put a wall socket within range.

And also I played more WoW. Here's Mr. Druid wearing his festive Christmas outfit.

Knackered.

Another Christmas card arrived today. This one is from Raymond and Joyce. Thanks guys :-)

And this is yours truly. I'm pretty knackered physically from the walking on the snow and running in to walls when playing squash. But the snow thing is starting to get to me.

So I took tomorrow off.

The Gianna card

I received another Christmas card. This one is from Gianna :-)

Tonight I visited Nantko and he made his sister and me pancakes that tasted great!

Knackered.

Morning ferry.

A new boat, I forgot the name... I know I can look it up but I've just playes 75 minutes of squash and I'm too tired.

I had dinner with the Van Reijen's. Here we see the star of the show Noortje and Mickey.

Olf and mic doing scientific tests. Or something...

Mic at the squash place. I'm absolutely knackered now...

The goat droppings...

Breakfast with the folks on boxing day.

All was quiet and then my dad said "Tasting goat droppings, Vincent"... Don't ask me, please.

Little birds fly in and out all dat long.

Around noon I cycled to the DIY store to get some hardware.

I cycled past some windmills.

These are quite old. This one actually burned down 2 or 3 times already.

The croissants

I made croissants for breakfast.

Ready to go in.

My new oven works very well.

And voila! Yum yum :-)

Late afternoon I travelled to my parents by train. This is central station.

Destination reached.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

A Christmas miracle happened overnight! The GVB (pub. transport A'dam) had finally cleared the platforms from snow after it's been there for TWO WEEKS!

At work a Christmas breakfast was organized. There were buns...

... and lotsa raisin bread. Very yummy.

The room was a bit too small for all of us...

The ice plant looking bigger and better than ever.

Meeting Marjolein.

A piece of cold war, literally cold.

The ice-plant keeps growing because there's a leaking rain pipe next to it that splatters water on it.

I met Marjolein for dinner which I bought her because she had won my facebook game of "Guess what this picture is?" I had a very nice evening.

When I came home, more Christmas cards had arrived. These are from Eileen, Patricia and my mom and dad.

Meeting Ruud.

My colleague Walter left yesterday...

I saw this frozen plant.

I met up with my friend Ruud with whom I had drinks and dinner. A very nice time was had indeed.

One more pint...

I received this Christmas card from one of my bosses and his girl friend.
