The pipe

Apart from the corner part, this is the only bit left of the former City Box storage building that once stood here. Months and months after it burned down it was cleaned up but it seems this was left...

Stupid ship.

The settlers

A new ship was docked next door. Even though those ships are often pretty big you can easily miss it when they put them in or take them out of the dock...

Another egg-surprise, this time from my colleague Geert.

It's cool.

In the evening I had a few friends over to play Settlers of Catan. A game usually lasts 1 or 2 hours. The game we playes started around 8 and was finished around 2. That's a 6 hour game. Rather insane... But it was a very nice evening and we laughed a lot :-)

Sampson's journey.

Le bureau du jour.

Sampson all of the sudden started moving today!

Out slowly...

Turned around.

Forward on it's own power a bit.

And in to the next dock.

Right in front of our office. This ship is truly awesome. Our office is only 3 stories tall. This ship is about  11 stories!

I swept the sidewalk in front of my house when I came home. Don't want it to become too icy.

Snow!

Early morning on the ferry I could already see the Sampson being towed.

It was only moved in to it's dock so it's next door now.

Carolien finally left today. She's been docked in front of our office for about 9 months I reckon. Very long.

The painters opposite the street were making very colorful... things.

In the afternoon it started snowing suddenly. All of the sudden it was really winter.

In the evening I had dinner with colleagues at the IJ-kantine. It was very nice. Good food and good company.

Funny sticker at the loo.

Snowy scenery near my house.

My epic big screen-debut

The weather is looking awesome for the weekend! I think I'll go cycling up North again...

Sun rise while waiting for my ferry.

A colleague enabled a small web server on his mobile phone. The website published was showing images from his phone's camera, which was aimed at me... Pretty neat technology and quite fast too.

Waiting for the ferry home.

I made a small video of the Fast Flying Ferry. It's a wing-boat and it's fast alright.

The lasagna dinner

My watch needed some adjusting.

This is an old press close to my work.

I went for a short walk during lunch and I sat at the water a bit.

This is the Norman Trader lying next door.

I walked past the IJ-brewery on my way to Patricia.

I had dinner with Patricia and Martijn. She made a lovely lasagna and little cupcakes. It was a very nice evening :-)

Start of Sail 2010

Just after lunch the first tall ship came in. It's still in the distance here.

There it is. Pardon my crap quality photo... iPhone, you know ;-P

The copper chopper.

Another tall ship in bad quality...

There was a Starcraft II conference in the office today.

As a joke I complained about a spelling mistake in the email of a colleague. He rushed over and marked the mistake... On my screen...

Tall ships kept coming in.

The ferry on the way home was... well, full to say the least. We had to manouver between a few hundred little boats to get across.

FLICKR ME

Waiting for the ferry. So exciting. I nearly wet myself that's how exciting it was...

Mr. Wilson had docked. Nice medium sized ship.

Lunch. (chicken Siam)

I'll blog you, is that OK too?

Carolien.

Carolien was in her dock before lunch.

During lunch people flocked around the tables like seagulls.

After lunch I just saw the Carolien being tugged to her usual spot where she's been for months now. On this page you can see all ships called SCH 81. "SCH" is from "Scheveningen" and this is the third generation SCH 81.

The about an hour after lunch the ice cream man drove past! HAPPY HOUR!

After work I played a bit of MtG with colleagues. My deck completely sucked though and I was knocked out very early.

Oh well, I guess I had to leave and wait for my ferry in the sun with my colleague Sam. We bought a beer coz we had to wait 25 minutes.
