Bye bye scaffolding!

Yes. It's Saturday morning and I have builders to let attend to. The scaffolding needs to be removed today and at the same time the plaster needs to be fixed. They have three hours.

It's coming down.

When the scaffolding was gone I quickly changed and rushed to Mic's for his birthday. Ben and Miriam were there too.

Mickey had arranged for a musician to play one of Mic's favourite classical pieces.

Mickey, Mickey's mom and Ben.

Birthday boy, Miriam and Mickey. It was fun and we had quite a few laughs :-)

The final Rocky

The joys of plastering. Mess, everywhere.

In my living room/bedroom...

In my kitchen...

I have been working from home for 3 days now and my place looks like a bomb exploded. I needed a break so I watched the final Rocky movie. I liked it. Glad I bought the set.

The rose

So I was waiting for the plaster-guys to rock up but instead 2 15yr olds showed up who had to modify the scaffolding because it was touching the wall. After half an hour the plaster-guys showed up for real and noticed the kids did a bad job and had to re-do it. After the kids fixed their screw-up they started plastering our outside walls. To keep things a little bit cleans they "paved" their trails...

Soon it started getting messy...

In the evening I went to the cinema with colleagues for a private (work) screening of the movie Paranoia. It was fun to watch.

When I walked home I spotted this rose. It looked pretty so I photographed it and sent it to the girl I like very much ;-)

The scaffolding

This morning I woke up at 7 because builders were going to put up scaffolding behind my house. Since I live downstairs and there is no back entry, everything has to go through my house... Oh joy.

Tomorrow a guy will start cementing the outside of our back wall it will:
A) Be waterproof
B) Look better

Happy birthday Mic!

I had the day off today. Spent a large part with my girl. She likes writing in my dust...

When she went home, I went to my car to do some more sanding. I wanted to do the bumper again coz I wasn't happy with the first try.

When I got there I found out that my sander still has an Australian plug... Crap. Thankfully there was a shop in town where I could get a Dutch plug.

Happy sanding!

The bumper is looking good. Pity I can't find a matching white but it's a whole lot better than a chipped bumper!

While walking to my car I came across this lovely shit-cake. Awesome ;-)
People who let their dog(s) shit everywhere suck!

The rainbow

Saw a really clear rainbow on my way home today. There was a double one as well. Nice.

The painting

I did 30 minutes of cross training this morning. Good start of the day.

In the afternoon I prepared my car for painting the front bumper. The weather is still OK so I wanted to get it over with.

One layer done.

Seven layers done.

I learned a lot. Also what NOT to do next time... I have to go back to finish painting. Might do that tomorrow night... It looks better than before. I'm pleased.
