I went for a walk with my camera and new lens. These flowers are next door.

I bought some chips from Wil. I've been a customer for 15 years but only twice a year ;-) Still, this guy remembers me and sometimes knows me better than I know myself. There's something special about him on a spiritual level...

Feeding time

Smokers who drop their buds everywhere are stupid...

The nest of coots had moved on to the shore.

It was feeding time!

Swan family.

View across the Amstel from Mulligans.

I went there with Marjolein and ran in to Gerrit, Alex and Kees. We had a very fun evening together with quite a few whiskies ;-)

The band was OK, nothing spectacular, I think...

The hug

Saw this mommy duck with a little duckling. Only 1 left. It's rough out there. The coots are not too keen on other birds babies either...

I had a meeting.

Tanja won a hug from Wim after a bet where Tanja told Wim there was a bug in his software. He didn't believe her. Now he had to give a hug... It was the only fun moment we had today coz the rest of the time I spent at work was SHIT.

The grebe family.

Going home after work. We're having a great summer - not...

The lens test

On my way to work I was greeted by the Swan family. The kids are getting big now but their wings are still little. I guess they are the least important part to grow right now.

Docked crane ship next door.

This is my camera equipment. So far I'm very happy with my new zoom lens (left most).

During lunch I went for a small walk with Paul to test the lens.

Lens testing pictures below :-)

On my way home I spotted some other bird families. This is one of the Grebe families. 2 babies are left out of the original 4.

Young Nile geese.

The "Psycho Cowboy" submarine.

My ferry.

Making shelves

Morning. No time to lose. had to be at the tram stop at 10:45 but wanted to have nice breakfast which I didn't have. So I was the first customer today at the supermarket getting croissants and old cheese.
I managed to have a nice breakfast (even reading the paper a bit!) and get the tram on time :-)

I went to Marjolein for some DIY today. My 8mm drill bit was screwed so we walked to the store to get a new one. On the way home we saw this young gull who had managed to leave the "nest" and land below but now didn't know how to get back up. I'm sure it will figure it out soon.

The main goal of the day was making shelves. 15 holes were required which I drilled in 2 steps so that meant drilling 30 times in a rock hard wall. My hammer drill did the job flawlessly.

Et voila!

The lady of the house with her new shelves. There's room for an extra shelf which I think she'll get soon. I also did three other little jobs. It all went well :-)

Then Marjolein made me a lovely dinner with great homemade chocolate mousse. It was a good day :-)

On the tram home I saw this doggy. She was cute.
