The Marco Borsato concert

Today I have started my diet. It's back to little bags with powder food. Hello proteines... I had some sort of oatmeal for breakfast. It could be worse...

For lunch I had this pudding. It actually tasted very nice. I had to let it stiffen up for an hour in the fridge. In between I had a drink that also tasted pretty good.

And for dinner I had this ham/cheese pancake which also tasted very nice. I ate beetroot with it.

In the evening Simone and I went to a concert of Marco Borsato, a Dutch singer. I was able to get cheap last minute tickets and jumped on the opportunity to surprise Simone as she likes him a lot.

We sat far away but the sound was still good and we could see on the side-screens as well.

There were a lot of guest performances. Like this one from Belgium: Clouseau.

Trijntje Oosterhuis.

Matt Simons.

Roel van Velzen.

Ronnie Flex.

Maan.

Elske de Wal.

The show was surprisingly nice. You could hear what he was singing very well which is important with his songs.

We had a lovely evening :-)

The second proteine diet, day 11.

I bought myself tickets for the next Nickelback concert which is November 2015. Looking forward to it already! I gave the second ticket to Mic as a late birthday gift.

Today is Sinterklaas. Ford Holland created this funny image ;-)

In the evening Simone's family dropped by for Sinterklaas. We had a gourmet together and I ate nice meats and bread with herb-butter. It was delicious and fun with everybody.

There were even some pressies and Si(mone)nterklaas bought me two tickets for a Ford museum nearby which has a temporary Mustang exhibition. It's a really lovely gift and I love it! :-). Thank you Sinterklaasje X ;-)

Everybody had a great evening. When the kids went to bed and Simone and I were finally on the couch, we spotted a leftover present. Duh... :-)

The Mahones

Waiting for the tram/bus.

The ferry-dog was given eyes today ;-)

In the evening I went to see The Mahones with Ruud and Laurien.

We laughed so much, it was a great night.

"Amsterdam, we love yooooouuuuuu!"

Meanwhile outside our little country was covered by 1 big fucking rain cloud...

The Bruce Springsteen (and Black Crowes) concert

Today I joined Ruud and Laurien to see Bruce Springsteen. One of the opening acts were The Black Crowes which was pretty cool too! It was an outdoor concert in a park which fitted 65.000 people!

There you go, nearly 65.000!

I can see a stage!

Beer coins ;-) 1 and a half to be exact which was the price for a large lager.

Yours truly with Ruud and Laurien.

A crow.

The Black Crowes. They were good but we missed a large part because of bad traffic on the way there, which was a great pity.

And then Bruce Springsteen and the E street Band. That's a lot of musicians on stage!

Bruce! This man is 63 and still has a voice like thunder.

This man just keeps on going, it's nuts.

He didn't even allow for breaks between songs.

He played for 3 hours and 20 minutes. The last half hour it started pouring down and he came to stand in the rain with us on the lower stage. Soakin' wet he just kept on going and going.

It's Sophie!

My rose is making a lot of flowers!

I met Marjolein in the eveing and we went to see a friend of ours, Sophie, who was playing at the Kerkzolder. She was very good! Lovely traditional folk songs.

The second gig was from a bluegrass band called "Joe". Great stuff!

Then we walked to Mulligans but the band was crap, the sound quality was crap, it was too busy and too noisy and we left after 1 drink.

Spinvis in the Vondelpark

Today I went to see an artist called "Spinvis". He's Dutch. And he had a band. Spinvis is the guy in the purple suit.

And this piece of loveliness is called Saartje van Camp. I'd have asked her to marry me if she wasn't about to pop out a little one ;-)

The drummer made great facial expressions.

The concert was kinda intimate due to its location. Weather was awesome, loads of sun.

Spinvis. I really dig his music man...

It was nice in the park.

Marjolein and I. Very nice picture actually. Very happy to have managed to return to be great friends with her :-)

De règâhs

Yesterday somehow, new balcony doors had magically appeared in the houses at the back. They look nice.

Ghandi was walking in the snow today. I stopped on my way to a restaurant. I got off one stop too far...

This Japanese restaurant takes "fortune" very serious.

I met Nancy and her boy friend Paul for dinner.

Then we went to theatre "De omval" in Diemen...

... to see a Flamenco band from The Hague.

"De règâhs". They were fun and very good actually!
