The last Hahndorf visit

We drove to Hahndorf today, through the Adelaide Hills.

This store sells moving Christmas stuff. I like these things. I can see myself making something like this myself some day when I'm retired maybe ;-)

Fishing for Dutch tourists...

This didgeridoo costs $1200. It's absolutely stunning and it has a fantastic sound. It is for sale in Ancient Earth, an indigenous art shop in Hahndorf where I like to go. I bought some glass art today and some clap sticks for someone to play together when I play the didgeridoo.

And then I saw this. The Triumph Rocket III. In it's natural, wild habitat. I L O V E this bike.

We had coffee at Chocolate @ No. 5 twice today but only once did I have the waffle.

Inside Chocolate @ No. 5.

We drove home through the hills as well. Windy roads ahead.

Overlooking Adelaide.

In the evening we went to Vili's for one last time.

They changed the whole inside! The bar is longer.

And the seating area is much bigger with all new tables and chairs. Very comfy chairs too!

The short.

In the morning I started putting together a reverse loop controller that I designed. The tests went well so why not give it a go.

The day flew by and by the time I left the house for the first time it was dark. We went to the bank to get cash out.

After we went to Cafe de Vili's. I hadn't had dinner yet.

The Rundle Lantern was broken. It wasn't moving and it was only displaying half.

On the way back we drove through town.

This is the finished proto type of my reverse loop controller. It is unfortunately not working. The relays heat up for some reason. Sounds like a short to me but I am yet to find out where...

Imaginary fire

In the morning the fire brigade responded to an imaginary fire alarm. Well, actually the alarm was real but you had to imagine the fire if you were looking for some action. It was next door by the way.

I was adventurous and got Indian for lunch. It was OK but not more. (Sorry Luke ;-P )

I worked hard and long today. From 8:15 till 19:30. Working after most people have gone home is actually rather pleasant.
Nicole picked me up and we drove to Cafe de Vili's where the floor just received a scrub.

Fathers day

While Nicole was baking hard I was doing some woodwork. Very handy little machine this was. Very noisy too btw. And when you're cutting and you can't find the bloody dust bag to put on it it makes a very nice fountain of saw dust. At least it sprayed away from me...
This piece of wood is actually 2 pieces glued together. It's going to get a leg under it and it will be put in the middle underneath our Ikea cupboard because it's caving in under the weight of my model trains *grin*

Karin spent the night at our place coz Gav was helping out a mate and slept there. Mason also stayed overnight. He scared the shit out of us by starting a mad barking session at 2 AM. I felt reasonably f*cked again today. I was supposed to make up for the sleep I missed while watching Holland beat France.

In the afternoon Anna, Damian, Rose and Charli visited us to eat the cakes Nicole baked in the morning. Here little Rosie is paying attention to Nicole who may have been explaining cold fusion technology... or not.

We chose the easy way out for dinner and went to Cafe de Vili's for dinner. This gives me about an hour worth of driving which is always handy. Driving went superb tonight.

When we came home I had the obligatory fathers day Skype session with my mom and dad. We bought him a big bunch of flowers.

Cafe de Vili's

Finally, after having been here for 5 months, we set foot in Cafe de Vili's again! Nothing seemed changed, thankfully.

The over-the-counter sales of pies, pasties, cakes etc, fresh from the factory behind the wall still happens right here.

I ordered the perfect duo: A chocolate eclair (lots of whipped cream) and a cheese+beef+bacon pie. Hmmm, just try and imagine the taste of your burps the next couple of days. Sensational!

Everybody finds there way to Cafe de Vili's. You haven't seen Adelaide if you haven't been to Cafe de Vili's!
