The Wonder Core II

Eventhough my birthday is tomorrow, I was given my pressie from Simone and the kids today. I've wanted this piece of fitness equipment for a few weeks now, eversince I saw it on TV.

In the evening we had friends over, it was a fun evening. Eventhough the last ones left at 0:30, Milan insisted we put the Wonder core together. I had no problems with that ;-)

I'm very happy with my present. Can't wait to use it :-)

Baking

I'm celebrating my birthday the next 3 days so I'm making one pie for each day. Bit of work....

Making caramel myself. It went well.

The "LOVE" sculpture / The sunset.

I saw this photo on Facebook. It's from the "Burning man" festival in America. This sculpture is called "Love" and created by Alexandr Milov from Ukraine. I think I like this sculpture the best out of all that I've seen in my life.

"It demonstrates a conflict between a man and a woman as well as the outer and inner expression of human nature." - from http://burningman.org/event/brc/2015-art-installations/#LOVE.

Well, I LOVE it for sure! I think we all feel like that sometimes. I feel my inner child is still very alive (and I like to keep it that way!) and maybe that's why I forgive and forget so easily...

I took my car for a spin tonight. It's getting dark sooner now. I can feel autumn and winter approaching.

First time I took photos with the lights on.

Even more so: never saw the side markers lit-up till now!

Vroom vroom! Nice, I like my set of wheels.

This needs checking out though. I think there's an oil leak close to my fuel pump and I think it's getting worse.

The buildings

From the ferry this morning. I really like these buildings. Great architecture I think.

This big-ass cruise ship came in.

Straight outta Compton

I still had a movie voucher for 1 movie + soft drink + popcorn from my last birthday. Thankfully I checked 2 weeks ago and found out it had to be used before september 12th. Due to busy schedules I couldn't go with Simone and went by myself, which was a first for me. It did however present me with the opportunity to see exactly what ~I~ wanted to see :-)

So after work, I went to the cinema to see the movie "Straight outta Compton" about the rise and fall of the band N.W.A. Since it was 17:30 there was hardly anybody except for people who really wanted to see the movie. No screaming kids playing with their cells etc. Lovely!

I think not even 20 out of 360 seats were filled! The movie was great btw. And it played for about 2.5 hours. I definitely recommend seeing it if you're into hiphop/rap and/or music history!

The building at the end of my street is more or less finished. It looks nice.

Day off blogging ;-)

Because I made over 300 photos yesterday and had to squat over 300 times for them as well, I have serious muscle-ache in my right upper leg today. And now I'll have your pity please, thank you ;-)

PS: I made no photos today.

The King Cruise (9/2015)

This afternoon I went to the King Cruise, a meeting for American cars, old and new ones. I had never been but it was a lot bigger than I expected! The weather wasn't great but OK with only one real shower...

Anyway, here are some of the photos I took. Let's start with the new 2015 Mustang:

Some slightly older but also beautiful Mustangs:

Ford Torino:

This was actually the first time I ever saw a Torino for real!

Dodge's:

Awesome combination of a big Chevy truck carying a little Ford pick-up:

And lots of other, different cars:

Mustang-street:

I do like these Mustang II's (late 70's):

80's Mustang:

2 '73 Mustangs:

There should always be a Trans-am:

Chevy Nova:

One of my favourites was this Buick Riviera. It's just a beautifully designed car. So slick. It's got big curves yet also a lot of sharpness. Definitily very high on my wish-list!

Chevy Impala:

Great selection of cars. Nice to see the new Mustang too. Maybe next time when the weather is better I'll take my own car there.
