The return

Leaving Edinburgh in the morning. I was being dropped off at the airport for my flight home. After a fantastic week this was not a fun happening.

I had an emergency exit seat with lots of leg room. I could actually stretch my legs.

Flying over English mainland.

Clouds above the North sea.

And then going down in The Netherlands again.

Amsterdam Sloterdijk is THE most depressing station in the whole entire world. No, galaxy.

In the evening I went to Mulligans. I picked up some chips along the way.

Sydney day 1.

This was the flight leaving to Perth. We flew in a same model airplane to Sydney today for a 4 day Sydney extravaganza.

The last people boarding the Perth plane.

Singapore Airways coming in.

We arrived in Sydney safe and sound. During the first landing, the pilot decided it was best not to land on top of a slow taxi-ing plane and suddenly went full throttle and pulled right up. That was fun! The second approach went better :-)

Sydney is a lovely place. I already know that it is my favourite city in Australia. People actually live here! It was Sunday and there were people in the city! Even at night!

Walking around here feels great. It is a bit more humid than in Adelaide which feels so much nicer on my skin. The weather is lovely.

We visited Vesna and Sandy who have a bit of a huge house. This is looking down from the place.

This is looking up from their waterfront.

Sandy drove us back to the hotel and showwed us around a bit. This is the famous Sydney Harbour bridge. I was impressed! It's almost in the same category as the Eiffel tower.

This is the Sydney Opera House from accross the water. We will have a closer look soon!

So far everything has been great. The hotel is very good so far and plenty of breakfast opportunities close by.

Melbourne day one.

Mouth masks at the airport. Not that there was anything wrong with these people but we can all get on the scare tactics bandwagon of course...

Lots of leg-room on the airplane...g
We took an express bus in to the city of melbourne.

We had to change bus when we reached the outskirts of the city. This was the view while waiting for our mini-bus that would bring us to our hotel.

We had a bit of a stroll and Nicole found something to play with.

The back (or side?) of the Princess' Theatre.

The first time EVER I heard of this beer. Apparently it's the most famous of Italian beers.

We stay in a "serviced appartment" so we had to do some shopping. Naturally that means buying milk.

And some fruit.

First things first: Connecting to the hive.

I wanted to look in the GEOX shop here in Melbourne and I scored! I bought two pair of last season's shoes for less of the price of one pair!

In the evening we went out for dinner with Rob and Marisa. We went to an Italian restaurant where they use spelt instead of flower. The food was nice. Yeah, all three courses. I had not eaten this much in two months.

Marisa and Nicole.

They have a gazillion rollers hanging from their ceiling.
