Every second Saturday is kinda becoming "Mustang" day for me, which I don't mind at all! So today I was going to continue where I left 2 weeks ago, finish replacing the fuel pump!
Now that I had the right, American, tools it was quite easy to remove the old one. Here you see the old one and the new one. I also replaced the old piece of hose.
And there it is, all hooked up and ready to go. I cranked 4-5 times and the next time it started and eventually ran nice and smooth. This was a nice little project.
Just outside of the garage I bumped into this Oldsmobile.
Not a bad looking car, dunno what year it is... Think close to mine, 1973, I guess, maybe?
Upon closer inspection I found grass growing underneath the window trim. That's usually not a very good sign... Also the moist on the inside is not very good. This car is not maintained very well...
Driving home I passed my soon-to-be office. I'm gonna be on the 17th floor in a few weeks :-)
When Simone came home she quickly changed and we drove to Alkmaar for some shopping. I am desperate for new shoes and a new wintercoat. This building is where they used to weigh everything and the square is known for it's cheese market.
This is the numero uno shopping street of Alkmaar. I succeeded in my quest of finding new shoes and a coat. Me happy :-)
Afterwards we visited Ilse and Cassie coz they were having their housewarming.

The new super
My boss had his birthday and we all got a big, hot, delicious snack. You could choose between a sausage roll and a cheese roll. Personally, I had one of each ;-P
And they were both delicious indeed!
My local supermarket reopened! It looks great, they did a very nice job.
They even have a breadslicer you can operate yourself! :-)

Meet Hacker
This big little guy is Hacker. It's my boss' dog. I can't remember the breed but he's beautiful.
Hacker likes biting in things including hands that want to pet him. He's still got his razor sharp baby teeth though so I gave up after a few tries. He was also very interested in my lunch hehe.

Colleagues were getting instructions on how to put out a fire.
After a boiling hot tram ride home I went to the supermarket. The line-up was huge. I wonder if that's because it was cool inside...

Another rose popped open.
And I just wanna say how great it is to cook with these pans. Potatoes boiling at the bottom, green beans steaming in the top. Awesome.

DIY shopping
This area is being prepared for construction. I wonder what they'll build here. And I wonder what they'll do with the water even more so!
When I got home I got my back pack and cycled the Choppermeister to the DIY store. I looked at wood to build me a shed. A lot cheaper than what I saw elsewhere! This is for about 12 metres of wood. (packet of 5 pieces of 240cm each)
I also checked out these glass blocks. I'm thinking of building 2 little walls with them in my house to separate the front and back and thus create a proper bed room. I like the colours a lot.
This is what I came for. I need to fix the plaster on the wall next to my pad at the back before I can paint it.
I can see a lot more spending coming up there so I got myself a discount pass.
After I cycled the 20 kilo bag of cement home I drove in to town to buy a coffee maker off of Kate. It's for Marjolein. Much easier than her old coffee maker.

The Conti Singa.
Today the biggest ship ever was docked next door. It's the Conti Singa from Germany and it's 242 metres long and 32 metres wide. More details here. It was so long that all traffic in the canal had to be stopped because it couldn't get through while turning this monster around...
On my way home I did man-shopping. Essentials only.
I have had a little box with four coasters in it for a long time now.
The coasters have Guinness ads on them and I like them very much. I have had them for almost 10 years but I have only recently started using them.
I put together a quick Sliver deck to kick my colleague's arses with ;-)
