Sail is about to start so lots of sailing ships are coming to Amsterdam for the weekend.

I unwrapped my ZZ ZTOP album.

Framed. Now I have to think of where to hang it on the wall...

The ZZ Top concert

Tonight I went to see ZZ Top in the Heineken Music Hall with Mic, Ruud and Gerrit. We had dinner together first at some Turkish place. Their service was a bit messed up which caused a bit of a laugh for the customers. At some point we were even applauding for waiters to finally bring some folks their pizzas.

The Ben Miller Band opened for ZZ Top.

They were fantastic!

The drummer also played the washboard, the trombone and....

... electric spoons! Pretty awesome too! Great band!

And then it was Star-Time!

Cool as ever.

It was fun seeing them again.

I just thought that the sound quality was pretty shit from where we were standing.

In all fairness I have to admit that I enjoyed Ben Miller more. Better, clearer sound. Simple as that.

The ZZTop key-hanger

My key-hanger finally reached it's destination. 20 years after I went to see ZZTop in concert and bought it :-)

And just as I wanted to go to bed around 1:30 AM I heard a funny water sound. A piece of drain pipe cracked and my upstairs neighbour's teeth brushing was causing a nice little waterfall in my bathroom. After I talked to her I decided to open up my ceiling to see what had happened. Always nice to do some DIY in the middle of the night...

Visiting Nantko

I worked from home today. The morning was glorious with lots of sun. It was great to be home today.

I had a little chat with the folks.

In the evening I went over to my mate Nantko who is recovering from stomach cancer. He was watching the Crossroads 2010 dvd. Lots of great musicians.

Nantko was looking better than ever since he started going to the hospital a long time ago. It was good to see him.

Nantko's cat who scared the shit out of us by falling off her cat thing or whatever it's called. It was noisy!
