The ring

This morning I went to the Waterlooplein market to look for some more Halloween things. I found nothing. Useless exercise....

The walk through town was nice though.

I got my new ring today. It's very big, bigger than I thought it would be. I have to get used to it a lot and it might even be too unpractical for daily use...

In the evening I went to Mulligans. There was a great band playing great music. The Jeff Jolley Band they were called. I got home a bit later than I planned :-)

I met up with Nic and Jon for some Moroccan dinner. The soup was really nice and was presented with a most interesting eating-tool.

As you know I'm a man who likes his tools so this was great fun. At least there's finally a photo in which I look happy for a change. (See it really DOES happen! ;-)

After dinner the three of us went to the Thirsty Dogg for a drink and Stephen was already there too. I left early because I was tired and I don't like the smoke in there.

Better again?

I worked at home again today coz I still wasn't feeling all too well. In the course of the day I got better and in the evening I found the courage to go out of the house again. I been inside for 3 days and it drives me nuts...

Anyway, this guy had his finger in his nose up to his eyeball.

Rings: Off.

The view from my window today. The weather turned every hour. Dark, light, dark, light and dark again. Not happy with that...

I cooked for myself again today. That hasn't happened for about 2.5 months... Today I realised that the ONLY thing I take off my rings for is...

... making meat balls!

They went for a swim in nice hot butter. I also made a chili con carne which is in desperate need of more spice...

I was sick today and stayed home. I became rather intimate with my porcelain god today...

The Steve Miller Band concert.

I temporarily swapped desks with a colleague. So temporarily I now have almost my own office :-)

Waiting for a tram coz I was too lazy to walk to Mulligans.

I noticed the fun fair is being build up again.

I went to have dinner with my friend Ruud.

We went to see the Steve Miller Band.

The concert was very good. The band enjoyed themselves as well as they played for 2.5 hours straight. They even did a few requests :-)

Keeping busy.

These cables have been bothering me since I moved in. They come out of the wall and nobody has a clue what they are for. So today I did figure it out and they are completely useless. So I put them back in the wall and now I just need to buy a cover and that's that.

My little bonsai has died. I was hoping it would still be alive but it had completely dried up. It's always been a sickly little tree.

This plant (pruned a bit last week) was given to me when it had the size of the smaller ones next to it. While I was in Australia, Suzanne looked after it and it's still doing OK.

I went to town in the afternoon to buy new bedlinen. I had lunch at the Kalvertoren again. I like the place a lot and the food is pretty alright. They make a nice coffee too. And the view is awesome because you look out over town.

I had dinner in Mulligans. It was great. I especially enjoyed the silences in between sessions ;-)
