Tulips and brushes.

Somebody close to my house has made a little front garden with tulips. I love it. I want one myself when I get my new place.

I walked to the tram stop in the morning to catch a tram to the station.

I met up with Danny to visit IKEA in Haarlem.

I did research.

For people who like to keep a loooooot of shoes ;-)

A colleague of mine asked me to bring back 5 dishwashing brushes... in black. Sorry Sylvester, they didn't have any in black. Only 5 million yellow ones, 10 red and 1 blue...

Danny was after biscuits.

The train station where I got my train back.

In the evening I went to the Italian restaurant Le Stivale d'oro with Nicole...

... and Gerrit. We had a wonderful dinner.

Then it was off to Mulligans where a good band was playing.

I had to walk home because I missed missed my tram by 10 seconds. Plenty of coppers and ambo's around.

From breakfast to Bonsai.

My breakfast: Milk, a croissant and half a baguette (whole meal) with cheese. Rather nice.

I saw these geese with a little baby while walking to work. Beautiful they were.

In the afternoon my colleague Bjorn came in to tell me an awesome yacht sailed by. It's in the distance...

What was more fun was that half the room was suddenly in front of one window looking at a boat. Of course they disperse real fast when you take a photo...

Whilst waiting for the tram, the girl next to me was sporting the latest accessoiries including a little mini dog.

My bonsai is growing new leaves again. The first lot of leaves was all eaten by some tiny white insects. So I bought some biological spray and sprayed the shit out of it. It might be helping.

It's an under water gun, really.

Waiting for my ferry in the morning.

Leaving with the ferry after work. I got a different view of the sub.

It looks kinda cool but it's designed to sink ships and kill hundreds of people at a time. It's really like a gigantic under water gun... I don't really like guns at all. They are scary.

When I came home, I had another blue envelope from the tax office. This was a tax form for 2008, when I lived in Australia. I left The NL not wanting to have anything to do with the country anymore. It's all catching up on me now unfortunately. Anyway, I only answered one question. The answer was "You do not have to fill in this form, please only return this page and the front page with your signature". I liked that. It was the quickest tax form I've ever filled in.

Walking to the pub in the evening I spotted this sign in a window somewhere. It reminded me of the Vapores, our friends in Adelaide. I wonder what this is about.

When I got to Mulligans, Freddy the Frenchman was outside smoking a fag. We had a little chat. Now that I look at the picture he actually reminds of me of our crown prince Willem Alexander a bit...

In the pub I was sitting in between my good friends Guinness...

... and Magners.

The good view.

This is how we like it. The fridge at work re-stocked!

The neighbours have re-painted a boat.

My guitar.

Waiting for the tram to work I saw a truck unloading glass. It was quite tall.

This is my guitar. It's over 10 years old now but still in very good shape. I'm trying to play a tune again. I need harder skin on my fingers now...

Chinese sweet & sour chicken.

Found in a desolate spot close to my work. 100% industrial area. Intriguing...

Another ocean steamer came to Amsterdam today.

I cooked chinese sweet & sour chicken.

Lunch for the next three days :-)

Super Noortje!

It was the first really warm day today and people took their boats out.

The park was also swamped with people.

In the afternoon I went to visit mickey and Mic and Noortje and Yaan in the hospital! Noortje is their new baby! She is a gorgeous little girl.

After the hospital I walked in to town. This is museumplein.

After having dinner at Wagamama (No. 71: Chicken katsu curry) I went to Mulligans where I had several pints of Magners and talked with several friends.

When I got home I ate pretzel letters. I wanted to make a funny sentence but I was missing a few letters...
