Got milk?

We went to Hahndorf today for a little drive.

Naturally you end up at "Chocolate @ No. 5" then. Seriously good stuff.

Because of Anzac day all big supermarkets are closed (quite retarded if you ask me) so we had to go find some other place to buy milk. Yes, I'm out of milk. I could cry. Anyway, none of the halal supermarkets that actually *were* open had a decent enough dairy section to have milk. So we had to stop at a few until our car would really not start anymore. We called the RAA to bring us a new battery. After that we went too Cafe Cena for a bit (I had loads of veggies) and we went home.

We forgot to buy milk...

Rain, all day long.

Rain when I left to work.

Rain when I got to work.

Rain when I sat down for lunch.

Rain.

Friday afternoon happiness.

Unfortunately it was over too soon.

After work Nicole picked me up and we went to the Central Market.

Nic buying snow peas at a little asian grocery store.

It was quite busy because the market is closed tomorrow.

We dropped off our groceries around 18:00 which was lucky for the cockies because their food bowls were completely empty (and they made sure to tell us they were hungry!). After feeding them, we fed ourselves at an Indian restaurant close by.

I'm turning into a rabbit...

Starting my little walk to work after Nicole dropped me off.

Walking through the City Cross mall. It's very quiet early morning.

People getting breakfast at Hungry Jacks (aka Burger King). Just thinking about it makes me want to vomit...

Staring out of the window while my computer boots. Because I can't see outside from my little work-dungeon I walk over to the window several times a day to see if the rest of the world is still there.

I explored new pastures during lunch. I discovered a little salad bar.

I bought a vietnamese salad with chicken.

I'm not too wild on salads but the change was very welcome. It tasted alright but it sat in my tummy fantastic!

Outside it had started raining. I believe it's gonna rain all weekend...

Justin, my manager bought new fruit.

I caught the bus home. It was raining still.

Under a tree

During lunch I went to my usual hangout at Victoria Square. I sat under one of the trees. When I was done eating my Matar Paneer, I lay down for 10 minutes. This was my view.

This was the tree's view.

The blow up... thing.

During my lunch I sat next to this blow up... thing. It had to do with children theatre or something.

I left work a bit early today and came home around the same time everybody else comes home. Mason was there.

And this is why we will never be able to teach Mason not to jump on people...

The keg room

My work entrance.

The keg room in the Bombay Bicycle Club where we had dinner. I was expecting a Borg drone to walk past any minute...

What New South Wales, Victoria and the bad South Australian and central government are doing to the Murray river in SA.

The Murray river flows through South Australia coming from New South Wales. It's actually a combination of a lot of rivers flowing in to one. The main river flowing in to the Murray is the Darling river.

This picture shows the vast amount of rivers that make up the Murray:

Seeing the above, one would expect the Murray in South Australia to be gigantic.

This was the Murray river in Teal Flat in 2005:

This is the same river at the same spot 4 years later in 2009:

New South Wales and Victoria are sucking the water out so hard (and damming it for their non-native cotton and rice industries) that the water level has dropped about two metres in four years time. The Murray is drying up and this already has catastrophic consequences every where along the river.

It's very, very sad.

The bird watcher

Part of my breakfast. After eating this I waited about an hour and then did another 45 minutes of cross training. It's going well.

My late lunch was a steak sandwich with ham and cheese.

In the afternoon I sat in the garden with my little laptop. During sunset I spend almost an hour watching little birds catch flying insects.
